Windstar Takes Center Stage at SAIL Amsterdam

The world’s tallest sailing yacht, Windstar’s Wind Surf, will take part in the world’s largest sailing parade, SAIL Amsterdam, in 2015, and our guests will be in the center of it all.

Sailing on our Windmills & Tall Sails voyage in August 2015, Wind Surf  will spend two days in Amsterdam where we will join hundreds of  historical replicas, and modern and naval ships,  from around the world for SAIL Amsterdam. Taking place once every five years, SAIL Amsterdam is not just Europe’s largest tall-ship event, it’s Europe’s largest maritime parade, and we are beyond excited to be taking part in this premier exposition.

From the deck of Wind Surf during SAIL Amsterdam, our guests will be center stage in the parade. With five masts at 221 feet (67 meters) tall and seven triangular sails equaling 26,881 square feet (2,600 square meters), the length of nearly 75 football fields, Wind Surf will be the star of the 2015 SAIL Amsterdam as the tallest sailing yacht in the parade.

The Windmills & Tall Sails cruise is a brand new voyage for 2015. The eight-day cruise departs from Oslo, Norway on August 16, 2015. In addition to an overnight in Amsterdam, it will stop in Kristiansand, Norway; Rotterdam and Vlissingen, Netherlands; Zeebruge, Belgium; and Dover, England.

Let all the charms of the Netherlands reveal themselves to you – historic windmills straight out of Don Quixote, delicate blue Delft pottery, the poignant Anne Frank House. Also on the agenda: Belgian beer, chocolates, and hip and historic Antwerp. This is your chance to meet the Dutch in their own element – the water. Come with us on a journey unlike any other.

Great deals happen. Don't miss one.
