Day 1 (L,D)
Bangkok to Siem Reap, Cambodia
This tour begins in Bangkok, Thailand where you will be transferred from the ship to the airport for a flight to Siem Reap, Cambodia (included). You will be transferred to your 5-star Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort. Check in, get yourself settled and have lunch before your 30-minute drive to Tonle Sap Lake. Board a small shaded vessel here to explore the floating homes and small fish farms on the lake. Then you will have a 30-minute transfer to Wat Atvea Pagoda, located in the Angkor Archaeological Park. You will take a walking tour, meet the monks, who have built a small school in the pagoda, and receive a traditional Khmer Water Blessing from them. You will have dinner at Chanrey Tree Restaurant or a similar venue, then, return to your hotel to overnight.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
Siem Reap, Cambodia
Guests who wish will be driven to Angkor Wat at 5:00 a.m. to see the sunrise. Then it’s back to the hotel for breakfast before returning to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat where you will take a walking tour of this fabled temple. Return to the hotel for lunch and a brief respite before heading to Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple with its numerous sculptural decorations. Then you will transfer to Ta Prohm, unusual in that this temple has been left to the forces of nature and offers an interesting interaction between man-made art and nature. Return to your hotel to freshen up before dinner and a show.
Day 3 (B)
Siem Reap, Cambodia to airport
You will be transferred to the airport in the morning after breakfast.
Bring your hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent and comfortable walking shoes. When visiting the temples shoulders and legs must be covered and no shorts will be allowed. This tour is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for people with mobility issues. This tour does not include your flight home. An afternoon flight from Siem Reap (REP) is recommended.
