Your tour will start with a panoramic driving tour of Cagliari up to Monte Urpinu on the outskirts of Cagliari and enjoy sweeping views of the city and Poetto. Upon arriving at the ancient hilltop citadel, known as the Castello, you will disembark your coach and begin the guided walking portion of this tour.
First visit the Archaeological Museum where you will see the "Giants of Mont Prama" a number of large statues found recently in Sardinia, and the subject of studies on the origin and dating. It was discovered that there are many certainties about the origins of Sardinia and other peoples who lived on the Mediterranean coast since the Egyptians. At the end of your promenade you will reach the Antico Caffè built in 1855. The bar owes much of its charm to the fascinating stories which make up its history. It was here that Sibilla Aleramo waited for her lover, sitting at a table near the bar, but she was not alone. Grazia Deledda, Emilio Lussu, D.H. Lawrence, Gabriele D’Annunzio, Salvatore Quasimodo, Elio Vittorini and Beniamino Gigli are just some of the illustrious figures to have patronized and loved this haunt. A snack of some dishes of Cagliari cuisine will be served for a 60 relaxing minutes in the special atmosphere of the Antico Caffè. Return to your yacht or continue on your own to visit this beautiful Mediterranean Town.
