Depart the pier for a short 30-minute panoramic tour of the city to arrive at the art center. Enjoy your time at “Les Bassins de Lumières” in Bordeaux, a new digital art center located in what used to be one of France's biggest bunkers during WWII, used by Germans to house U-boats. The monumental space, which stretches over 14,500 square meters (about 156,000 square feet), will be dedicated to the great Master of Art History, as well as contemporary art. The digital exhibitions will be perfectly adapted to the monumental architecture of the submarine base and will be reflected in the water of the four enormous basins, thereby adding a new dimension to the immersive experience. Visits will be conducted on gangways above the water and along the quays of the enormous basins. The exhibition ‘Venice, La Serenissima – by Artistic Director Gianfranco Iannuzzi’ will take you on a journey of discovery of the artistic and architectural treasures of the city of Venice. As you explore the Grand Canal and the canals, lanes, squares, buildings, and churches, embark on a journey through Venetian interiors and exteriors. An amazing immersion in Byzantine art and the impressive golden mosaics of Saint Mark’s Basilica, the masterpieces of Tintoretto, Bellini, and Canaletto, and the famous Mostra del Cinema, with photos of the actresses and actors of Italian neorealist films. The Bassins de Lumières will offer you unforgettable visual and audio experiences in a unique setting, a place for sharing culture that is open to all types of visitors.
