Board your coach for the 45-minute drive to one of the best known resort towns in Croatia –
Porec. By international standards, Porec is a cultural and historical jewel. Porec features two main intersecting streets,
Cardo and
Decumanus, which even today remain the backbone of the Old Town. Visit the Episcopal complex of the
Euphrasian Basilica built in the 6th century and a
UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Marafor, the oldest part of the town, still boasts the remains of two Roman temples. See the
House of Two Saints, the Istrian Parliament Building, and the
Leoni and Zuccato Palaces. You will have some
free time to explore this charming little town on your own. Next you’ll have a short drive through the countryside to the village of
Sveti Lovrec, where you visit the wine cellar of the
Matosevic Family – one of the most well-known Croatian Wine Producers. You will be invited to sample some of their finest red & white wines, accompanied by some homemade cheese, Istrian Pršut.
Please note: This tour involves moderate walking and negotiating up to 30 steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shopping is available in Porec and at the Matosevic Winery.
