Here’s an adventure you’ll remember for a lifetime. You will depart the pier in 4x4 vehicles on a scenic journey known as the Paradise Valley drive. Drive through the neighborhood of Iligh to the palm groves and gorges of the river Tamrhakht up into the mountains towards Imouzzer.  You will see the varying landscape, local traditional houses, set amongs the argan trees, back dropped against the Atlas Mountains. You will enjoy a photo stop, and a panoramic view of the village of Alma. Your journey will continue through the scenic countryside, and into the impressive gorges of Paradise Valley . You will take a moderate walk down into the valley hosted by an informative guide, who will give explanations on the local flora and fauna and the interesting natural history including an enjoyable visit and walk through a small and quaint botanical garden, to view the plethora of plants, used for artisanal extraction of essential oils. Refreshments of Moroccan tea, bread, olive oil and honey will be served. The argan tree is indigenous to the arid southwest region of Morocco. Characterized by its toughness, an argan tree can reach the age of 200.  The rare oil produced from the argan tree, in its purest form, is well-known across the globe for its exceptional quality, and accordingly, its expensive price. You will see more interesting towns on your way back to the pier.

Please note: This tour drives along winding and bumpy roads, and involves a walk along gravel paths and inclines. Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes. Not recommended for those with back or neck issues.

Agadir, Market & Medina of Ancient Taroudant
You will depart the quayside for a scenic drive to the city which is situated off the beaten path, perhaps explaining why royal visitors and politicians visit the area regularly. En route we will stop for a closer look at the argan trees and their healthy fruit (season dependent) and we may be lucky to see one of the local goats climbing a tree!  Today Taroudant is fondly called the "Grandmother of Marrakech" and it retains the feel of a small market town on the “caravan route.”  It is a quaint, and charming town that resembles Marrakech with its surrounding ramparts.  Unlike Marrakech however Taroudant contains almost the entire city within its walls. It is also known for its jewelry and carpets, with a much more relaxed atmosphere to purchase these items. First stop at the ramparts, to see the entrance of the Medina then walk through the souks for a step back in time. After exploring the ancient Medina and its market enjoy some free time around the square to meander or people watch. You will also have a soft drink on arrival in Taroudant.

Agadir, Panoramic Agadir

Continue on to the center of town, to the Berber Market, the heart of the colorful souks, where you will have free time to shop and practice your bartering skills purchasing local mementos.
