This Akureyri tour showcases the highlights and hidden gems of North Iceland, featuring visits to three stunning waterfalls: Goðafoss, Aldeyjarfoss, and Hrafnabjargafoss. Departing from the pier, we'll first head to Goðafoss, driving through Iceland's longest tunnel, which stretches 7.5 km. At Goðafoss, we'll spend 30 minutes taking photos and enjoying the scenery. Next, we'll drive for an hour to the beautiful, hidden Hrafnabjargarfoss waterfall, where we'll spend 20 minutes capturing its unique horseshoe-shaped cliffs, moss-covered lava rocks, and black sands. From there, it's just a 10-minute drive to Aldeyjarfoss, where we'll hike down to a spectacular viewpoint. Surrounded by a lava field created about 9000 years ago, Aldeyjarfoss offers breathtaking views. After exploring Aldeyjarfoss, we'll head back to Akureyri, with a delightful stop at Rikky's House for 40-60 minutes. Here, you'll enjoy coffee, tea, and delicious waffles, providing a perfect opportunity to relax and chat with your guide in a warm, welcoming local home while learning more about Iceland and its unique culture.
