Tortola, Two Tank Certified SCUBA: Wreck of the Rhone
You will board the dive boat right at Nanny Cay Marina and steam across to Salt Island, where the Rhone was dashed upon Black Rock Point in a violent hurricane in 1867. The ship split in two and sank to the ocean floor, scattering artifacts across the sea bed. The stern came to rest in 35 feet of water; the bow drifted slightly deeper to 80 feet. It will take two dives to thoroughly see the 310-foot steam ship that once carried mail and passengers between England and the Caribbean. On the first dive, you'll explore the ghostly bow section, which is nearly intact, including the prow, mast and lifeboat davits. The cavernous interior may look familiar as some of the most dramatic scenes in the movie "The Deep" were filmed here. The waters are usually teeming with jacks, grunts and sennets, a barracuda-like fish with a yellowish hue and exaggerated eyes. After a break, you'll dive in shallower waters around the stern and other remnants of the ship, such as the boiler, deck supports and massive propeller. Almost every surface is covered in a kaleidoscope of vibrant coral and sponges, which attract a variety of brightly colored fish. Following your amazing underwater adventure at one of the Caribbean's best dive sites, you'll cruise back to the pier, enjoying some refreshments along the way.

Please note: Guests wishing to participate in this tour must be certified divers and present their dive certification card and show proof that they have dived within the last 3 years. If you have not dived within this period, you may alternatively take a refresher course prior to your cruise. Guests should be in good physical condition. The tour is not available to wheelchair guests, those with mobility concerns, or those with back or neck problems. Bathing suits should be worn under a cover-up and guests should bring their own towel. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and flat, comfortable shoes or aqua socks are strongly recommended. Diving equipment is provided. Guests taking part in any water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility and the local operator requires that all participants sign a liability waiver before being permitted on the tour. Dependent upon prevailing weather and sea conditions, alternate diving sites may be substituted.

Bridgetown: Beautiful Barbados
Prepare to embark on a journey that will take you to some of Barbados’s most beautiful and important historical sites. Journey through the rolling hills of the countryside on a 30-minute drive to Gun Hill Signal Station with a magnificent and captivating view of the island!  Built in 1818, the signal station was beautifully restored and landscaped by the Barbados National Trust and now houses a collection of military memorabilia. An officer at the signal station carved the statue of the lion on the hillside below, out of a single piece of rock in 1868. Continue to St. John's Parish Church, perched on a cliff, 800 feet above sea level, overlooking coastal St. John and the Atlantic Ocean. The present building was constructed in 1836, after the hurricane of 1831 destroyed the one built in 1660. The pulpit is constructed from six different kinds of wood: ebony, locust, Barbados mahogany, manchineel, oak and pine. The church also contains an interesting sculpture depicting the Madonna and Child with the infant St. John. The graveyard contains the tomb of Ferdinand Paleologus, a descendent of the Byzantine Imperial family, who died in Barbados in 1678 after being a resident for over 20 years. Located near the center of the island, Highland Adventure Centre sits in the parish of St. Thomas, at an elevation of more than 1,000 feet above sea level. From here the view of the East Coast is truly breathtaking! The pounding Atlantic surf in the distance, contrasts with the unspoiled beauty of nearby Mount Hillaby, which at 1,138 feet above sea level, is the highest point on the island. You get the feeling that you're sitting on top of the world.  Your tour returns to the port by heading westwards, across the northern part of the island, to Holetown, where a monument commemorates the landing in 1605 of the first British settlers, who claimed the island ‘in the name of James I of England.’ Continuing southwards, you will drive along the West Coast, where the clear sea gently kisses some of the best beaches in the Caribbean and many of the ‘rich and famous’ have their ‘getaways.’ This section of the island is often referred to as the ‘Gold Coast,’ because of the number of very wealthy people who have come to live here over the years. It also boasts some of the finest hotels and restaurants.

Castries, Lets Make Chocolate
Once considered the dessert for monarchs and aristocrats, chocolate has since filtered through to the mainstream.  The tree to bar chocolate class at Howelton Estate features the use of St. Lucia's trinitario cocoa beans, which are treasured by renowned chocolatiers for their aromatic indulgencis on one’s senses. The class will begin with the manual grinding of cocoa nibs which have been broken down from dried trinitario beans grown on the island.  With the use of a mortar & pestle, class participants under the guidance of the house chocolatier, grind nibs until they transform into liquefied chocolate. The breakdown process can take up to 45 minutes adding in personal touches of desired flavors along the way, which makes each chocolate a unique signature bar. Throughout the class, information on the multiple benefits of the trintario chocolate is disseminated as dark chocolate is renowned for its fascinating health benefits. There is a 20-minute cooling down period to allow the liquefied chocolate to solidify after it has been put into its mold. The break will allow time for taking in the amazing views of the city, while enjoying a beverage from the Cellar Bar or browsing the duty free gift shop among other options. After the break, class will resume and the end result will be a beautiful 1.8 ounce (50 grams) dark chocolate bar that is foil wrapped and can be taken home as perhaps the most distinctive souvenir of St. Lucia.

You will head toward the island's west coast and visit the Gouyave Nutmeg Processing Station to discover how nutmegs are harvested, processed, and exported. Experience the hustle and bustle of the picturesque capital of Grenada by comfortably strolling through its quaint streets.  You will begin your tour with a brief stroll through Fort George for some incredible views before you walk through the Sendall Tunnel, which was constructed to facilitate travel between alternate ends of the city in 1894. The tunnel was named for Sir Walter Sendall, who was a British Colonial Governor. Just around the corner is the Grenada National Museum which is housed in a building which served as the French barracks from 1704. It later became two different hotels under different owners. Once you reach the north end of The Carenage, get your cameras ready as it is said to be the most picturesque harbor in the Caribbean and this vantage point will offer you some great photo opportunities. Next you will make your way to Church Street; The Catholic, Anglican and Presbyterian Churches, all built around the 1800s, can all be found here and you will notice that some were damaged by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and are now mere remnants.
