You will discover the highlights of the island and many sites that cannot be admired from the sea like the little Church of St. Mary where San Silverio was buried. See the beautiful Lucia Rosa Bay with its pebble beach and the Faraglioni. The name is linked to a rich and wealthy young girl, Lucia Rosa, who lost her life by jumping to her death, from an impossible love with a fisherman. During the tour you will have also time to relax and take pictures of the breathtaking view in Cala/Punta Incenso and Felci, that takes its name from the medicinal herbs that grow in that area and once used by hermits who settled there. Stop also in Chiaia di Luna that can be reached by a tunnel that leads to a provincial road, built by the Romans and used as a port-refuge known as "diva-luna."  In the Napoletan dialect "chiaia" means beach. The name Chiaia di Luna is suggested by the half moon shape of the beach and by the white rock that lies at its two extremities.

Sorrento, Herculaneum
The city of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was founded around the 4th century B.C., copying the geometric regularity of the layout of Naples. Its “decumani” (main streets) have an east-west orientation, while the “cardines” (narrower streets) run north-south. There is undeniably a “feeling” about Herculaneum, quite different from Pompeii, where you get the impression that its ancient population of 5,000 packed up and left only moments ago. Herculaneum was smaller than Pompeii but is better preserved simply because, while hot ashes consumed the wood of Pompeii’s buildings, Herculaneum was covered by hot mud which sealed and protected entire city blocks. This means that marble floors, mosaics, paintings and carbonized woods can still be admired today. You will discover the ancient luxurious properties and villas including the House of the Mosaic, the House of Deer, the Thermae (baths) and the House of Carbonized Furniture. After a guided tour, you will be driven back to meet the yacht in Sorrento.

Giardini Naxos, Castelmola & Taormina
Founded in the 6th century B.C. by Greeks from Naples, Taormina was subsequently taken over by the Romans. Many of its narrow cobblestone streets are closed to traffic, making the main part of Taormina accessible only by foot. Your guide will take you on a guided walk that includes the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele and the bustling main street of Corso Umberto, lined with former mansions of enchanting architecture and balconies that brim with flowers. Stop briefly in the inner courtyard of the medieval Corvaja Palace and enjoy the panoramic views of the bay and snow-capped Mount Etna in the distance as you gaze from the balcony of Piazza IX Aprile. Follow your guide up the narrow street that leads to the Greco-Roman Theatre. Taormina’s most famous antique dates back to the 2nd and 3rd centuries B.C. and still hosts performances today. The theatre’s dramatic location is nothing less than breathtaking. The tiny village of Castelmola is strategically located near Taormina, a splendid site with panoramic views. The focus of the village is the attractive Piazzetta del Duomo with its fine, intricate paving. From various points there are wonderful views of Mount Etna, the north coast and the beaches below. You will have time to indulge in browsing the many shops and boutiques that line the main street.

Please note: This tour involves walking over cobbled and uneven surfaces and is not recommended for those with limited mobility or who tire easily.  Buses are not permitted in Taormina and many parts are accessible only by foot. Giardini Naxos, Taormina & The Blue Grotto
This tour will give you the opportunity to visit the resort town of Taormina, considered  one of the most beautiful destinations in Sicily. The  excursion will begin with the short journey by bus  to  Taormina.  Leave your bus  near the center of Taormina, and set out on foot as your guide will lead you along cobblestone streets to the Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th century building adorned with classic double windows. From there it will be a short walk to the amazing and impressive Greco-Roman theater that is Taormina's iconic landmark. Like the town, the theater dates back to the 3rd century BC. The Greeks did an incredible job of siting it - its width and acoustic qualities are so inimitable that it is still used for open-air concerts today. The Romans, who came later, did some work on the theater but even they were unable to vastly improve on the original. Explore the theater, and make sure you turn around and appreciate the astounding view of Mount Etna looming above the town and the Bay of Naxos below. Once the guided visit is done, spend some free time independently exploring Taormina’s main street, Corso Umberto. By bus you will reach the port of Giardini Naxos, board a boat and motor out into the bay. Your destination is the fabled Blue Grotto. Glide slowly into this sea cave to witness the famed blue glow that reflects off the water. Afterwards, snack on fresh almond cookies before heading to the inviting waters off Isla Bella for a refreshing swim. Dry off and enjoy the scenic cruise back to the pier.

Fiskardo, Melissani Lake & Ouzo Tasting
The varied landscapes of Kephalonia seem like they have been created by the hands of a dreaming god. The coastline is like a lace of sheer cliffs plunging into a turquoise sea and gentle pebbly and sandy beaches.  The hinterland  is a mosaic of densely forested mountains and well cultivated hills and valleys. Small villages and towns emerge from the pines and the cypress trees, topped by Venetian castles and chapels. You will drive to the village of Karavomylos where the mysterious, 40,000-year-old, underground Melissani Lake is located. During the 1953 earthquake, the cave's roof collapsed, creating amazing light displays on the cave walls. Legend says the lake is named for the nymph Melissanthe, who fell in love with Pan and drowned in the lake when he rejected her. A small boat will be waiting to take you on a breathtaking trip across its mysteriously salty, subterranean water. You will find yourself surrounded by a vast, shimmering play of blue and violet colors, created by the sun filtering through the hole in the ceiling more than 100 feet overhead. The headwater is in Argostólion, and it enters the cave by traveling across the island and through holes in the coastline. Your tour will continue to the village of Sami, for a refreshment stop for ouzo (aniseed flavored liqueur) and Greek meze at a waterfront restaurant.

Itea, Mythology of Delphi
In antiquity Delphi was one of the world's most important religious centers. The Sanctuary of Apollo attracted a host of pilgrims who came to consult the oracle. Even now an aura of mystery surrounds the ruins of Delphi,a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exposed on a rocky slope. For sheer grandeur of natural beauty combined with ancient ruins, there is probably no other spot on earth that rivals Delphi. Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo, where the celebrated oracle Pythia dwelt. Her ambiguous prophecies were known and respected all over the ancient world. Visit the Temple of Apollo, the Sacred Way, the amphitheater, the best preserved stadium of Greece, and the Castalian spring, where in ancient days the pilgrims had to wash before they were allowed to consult the oracle. In the Delphi museum, see such treasures as the Omphalos, which marked the center of the world, and the magnificent bronze Charioteer, one of the finest pieces surviving from the 5th century BC.

Milos Highlights
Volcanic Milos, the most westerly island of the Cyclades has stunning beaches, coves, and geologically interesting places. Since antiquity the island has been quarried for its minerals.  Obsidian, a hard, black volcanic glass used for manufacturing sharp blades was mined on the island and exported throughout the Mediterranean. You will visit the Sarakiniko Beach with its lunar landscape,  the result of volcanic eruptions. This beautiful, moon-like spot is one of the island’s many geological wonders and perhaps one of the most photographed places in the Cyclades. You’ll take a walk down the beach so you can experience this one-of-a-kind location and take photographs.  Next you will visit the cave of Papafragkas, a cluster of deep-sea inlets and sea caves.  Located next to Papafragkas Cave is Filakopi, a settlement dating back to the Neolithic Period (approximately 9,000 to 4,000 B.C.) and remained an active settlement until 1,000 B.C. From Papafragkas you can see the remains of the walls of the city (only standing remains of the city at this point). The tour does NOT enter the archaeological site. Next stop Plaka and its cobble streets and alleys. Plaka is a classic Cycladic village with white stone houses and bougainvillea flowers, locted on a hilltop. You’ll walk through the village to admire its traditional architecture and its stunning view of the sea, and you’ll taste some homemade sweets at the village’s local pastry shops at your leisure. Following, the Christian Catacombs, which are the largest in Greece, and the ruins of the ancient city of Klima. Close to the Catacombs is the marble amphitheater. There are still seven intact seat rows and there is a lovely view of the bay. On the way to the theater from the Catacombs, you will also visit the site where Venus de Milo was discovered in 1820 (now residing in the Louvre in Paris).

There you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the covered excavations of this advanced Bronze Age civilization. Nafplio, The Kings Tomb & Venetian Fortress
You will board your motor coach for the 30-minute scenic drive through Nafplio and past the ancient sites of Tiryns to the ruins of Mycenae. The first in-depth excavations were carried out by the German archaeologist Schliemann in 1876, who was obsessed with finding the grave of Agamemnon. His diligent work exposed the famous Lions Gate, the entrance to the city, which contains the shaft burial graves of some ancient nobles. A short distance away is the Beehive Tomb, so called due to its unusual shape.  Then a short drive will bring you to Fithia Village where a brief shopping opportunity will take place. On the second part of your journey you will return to Nafplio where the Castle of Palamidi stands. From this vantage point there is a lovely panoramic view. The castle was built by the Turks and the Venetians as a fortress and until recently, was used as a prison. The castle is still in a good state of preservation and offers great views and photo opportunities over the entire Argolis bay.

Mykonos, Delos and Rhenia Island with Private Rib Boat
This private cruise to Delos & Rhenia islands guarantees vast doses of relaxation, culture and unique moments. Departing from Mykonos on a short and enjoyable boat trip, you will reach the small port of Delos Island, from which you can see the ancient monuments of the island. This holy island for Ancient Greeks, according to mythology, was revealed through the waves of the Aegean Sea by Poseidon, when Leto – persecuted by Hera – arrived there to give birth to Apollo and Artemis. You will leave Delos and head for the nearby Rhenia island, transformed into a vast necropolis when the Athenians imposed clearance on the island of Delos, ordering no one to give birth or die on the holy island. But it is all in the past and today Rhenia is a true heaven on earth. This magnificent island possesses virgin beaches with crystal blue turquoise waters that magnetize anyone who is fortunate to see them. The most famous one that you will be heading to is Skinos, known as “Blue Lacuna.” Here you will have the time to swim in the crystal clear waters, sunbathe on the beautiful golden sandy beach, stroll around the coast and enjoy your stay on the boat with the drink and snack that will be served. After Skinos, you will also explore some nearby beaches of Rhenia such as Lygia, Glyfada, Strada, Lia and Ambelia, which stand out for their unique beauty.

Please note: Wear your swimsuit and bring sunscreen. Beach towels, snorkel equipment, cool beverages, fruit and snacks will all be included on the boat.

Mykonos, Delos Discovery
Explore the tiny uninhabited island of Delos, one of the most important archaeological sites in all Greece. Start your journey with a 45-minute ferry ride to this richly historic site. Delos was the major center of the ancient Greek world and the mythical birthplace of the god Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. Your 2½-hour guided stroll includes such attractions as the Sanctuary of Apollo with its three temples dating from the 6th and 5th centuries B.C. To the west of this sanctuary lies the Sacred Lake, where Apollo was reputedly born. Standing guard over the Sacred Lake are nine replicas of the famous marble lions, which were a gift from the people of Naxos in the 7th century B.C. Other attractions include the amphitheater and the nearby theater quarter where wealthy owners built opulent houses with grand colonnaded courtyards. The island’s checkered history finally led to its destruction in 88 B.C. by Mithridates, the King of Pontus. Large-scale restoration work has continued for many years and in 1990 the island was declared a World’s Cultural Heritage Site, protected by UNESCO. Your guided walk concludes back at the ferry, for direct return to Mykonos. On arrival there, you are free to return to the yacht at your leisure.

Please note: As there is extensive walking on this tour, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Rhodes, Scenic Drive to the Acropolis of Lindos
Picturesque Lindos, lying on the east coast of Rhodes, is renowned as an important archaeological site and popular visitor resort. Your one-hour journey follows the east coast past quaint villages, orange and lemon groves, vineyards and gnarled old olive trees.  During your two-hour stay in Lindos you may either walk up to the summit of the Acropolis or, alternatively, take a donkey ride for most of the distance. At the top of your ascent, numerous archaeological sites await, including the 4th century B.C. Doric Temple of Athena Lindia and a double-winged portico. Other attractions include a Byzantine church, and the remains of the Governor’s quarters. There are breathtaking panoramas from atop the Acropolis, including St. Paul’s Bay, where the Apostle is said to have landed in the year A.D. 51 to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. Gathered below the Acropolis, are the old, whitewashed houses and narrow streets of this picture-perfect town, whose beauty has inspired artists and writers for generations. Before leaving Lindos, you may wish to browse among the many tempting shops offering such items as ceramics and crocheted linen. Your return is along the same picturesque route as your outward journey.

Agios Nikolaos, Elouda and Spinaloga
Departing in your air-conditioned motorcoach, after a short drive you will arrive at the beautiful Plaka village, where you will board your private boat to Kalidon, or the Island of Spinalonga, at the entrance of the Bay of Elounda.  The island of Spinalonga has a rich history dating back over 8 centuries. From the start of the Byzantine Empire in the early 13th  century, it became a crucial outpost of the Venetian power base on Crete for the next 400 years, resulting in the huge fortifications that still dominate the landscape. The island fell to the Ottoman Empire in 1715, and from then until the turn of the 20th century, it was used as a leper colony, finally closing its doors when the last sufferer departed in the 1950s.   Today, the unoccupied island with its fortifications is one of the main tourist attractions in Crete. Return to the Cretan shore and Plaka, where you will arrive at a seaside taverna well known by locals for its fresh fish and Greek cuisine. Relax in its lovely view overlooking the sea, and enjoy a glass of Raki and Greek snacks called mezzes.  Following this refreshing interlude, you will be driven back to the Agios Nikolaos village where you will have free time for strolling around the picturesque village or you can return to the pier.

Santorini, The Ancient City of Akrotiri & Prehistoric Museum
You will be transferred from the ship by local tender boat to Athinios port, where you will join the waiting motor coach. From here you will proceed toward the southern part of the island where you will make a quick photo stop at the ruins of an old windmill that has a panoramic view. You’ll re-board the coach and continue on your short narrated journey to the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the covered excavations of this advanced Bronze Age civilization. You will be taken back in time as these amazing ruins leave you to imagine what life was like before the village was destroyed around 1650 B.C., by the eruption of the volcano.  It remains a question why there were no people left in the village at the time of the eruption, as it was abandoned for reasons unknown.  It is often said in a whimsical way that perhaps Akrotiri is really the lost city of Atlantis. Next, visit the Prehistoric Museum located in the town of Fira.  In this remarkable museum, you will see an exhibition of artifacts and frescoes which were excavated from the archaeological site of Akrotiri, including the gold Ibix, one of the most famous recent discoveries of antiquities at Akrotiri.  When you leave the museum your tour will end and then after a 5-minute walk you will be at the cable car. From there you may decide whether to stay in the town and do a bit of shopping or to make your way back to the ship directly by taking the cable car to the pier below
