Limassol, Kourion Theatre, Kolossi Castle and Limassol Shopping
Drive for 20 minutes through Phassouri citrus groves and vineyards, to the ancient city of Kourion, a beautiful and unspoiled spot perched high on a cliff. Take in the dazzling views of the ruins and the sea below. Kourion, one of the ancient kingdoms of Cyprus, is situated in a conspicuous topographic position. It is built on a rise with three steep, almost vertical, sides. In his writings, Herodotus referred to the widely accepted notion that Greeks from Argos founded Kourion. During the 4th century AD, Kourion was destroyed by earthquakes. To the south of the complex, a theatrical natural hollow hosted a Greco-Roman theatre with a capacity of about 3,500 spectators. Archaeological and architectural data testify that the original theatre of Kourion was Hellenistic, small in size, dating back to the second century BC. Adjacent to the theatre are the remains of the House of Eustolios, consisting of as many as thirty rooms with a bathing complex, dating from the 4th to the middle of the 7th century AD. The floors of the porticoes are paved with beautiful mosaic compositions depicting fish, birds and a partridge, with Greek inscriptions. After exploring the site, you'll stop at Kolossi Castle, built in the 13th century. Your guide will tell you how it served both as the Grand Command post of the Knights of Order of St. John (Jerusalem) and also of the Knights Templar. Buses will depart from the castle and head to the old shopping district of Limassol where you'll have a chance to shop for local as well as international merchandise, including jewelry, leather goods, souvenirs, clothing and local artifacts.

Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Ashdod, Concierge Collection: Masada & the Dead Sea
From the lofty heights of Masada to the lowest point on earth at the Dead Sea, this tour will take you to the heart of Israel. Leave Ashdod port and drive to the Masada Fortress via Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. High above the Dead Sea’s desolate landscape is Masada. In King Herod’s day, it was a luxury refuge complete with magnificent palaces and excavated rock cisterns to supply water. Around A.D. 73, after a 3-year-long Roman siege, more than 950 Jews took their own lives at Masada rather than face a future of slavery. A cable car will convey you to the summit for a walk around the site of this last stand. Among the fascinating sights are the wall, northern palace, synagogue, western palace, Roman ramp and siege camps. After your cable car descent, you will have time to shop before driving to lunch at a hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea. Later you may choose to take a swim in these mineral-rich waters that are so salty you can’t sink! After a day steeped in history, you will return to Ashdod.

Please note: Travel time to Masada is approximately 2½ hours each way. Bring sunscreen and a hat. If you plan to take a dip in the Dead Sea, bring an old swimsuit as the water can cause discoloration. Aqua shoes are also recommended. Towels and lockers are provided at the hotel. In the event of flash floods in the Judean Desert the tour will not pass by Qumran.

Ashdod, Jerusalem & Bethlehem
There is so much history in this land that familiar names will catch your attention all the way from Ashdod to Jerusalem. Begin your visit to Jerusalem with a magnificent view over the "Golden City" from the top of the Mount Scopus and then follow in the footsteps of Jesus as you walk through Gethsemane. It was in this Garden of olive trees that Jesus spent the last moments before his arrest. Visit the Garden and the Church of All Nations. Board your coach for the short drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity built above the place Christ is said to have been born. The actual cave of the Nativity is a small Crypt with a vaulted masonry roof. Poor Bethlehem families used the rocky hollows of the region as stables or dwellings, so the tradition that places the Nativity in a cave is not at odds with the story of the Manger. You will also have the opportunity to shop for a few minutes and to enjoy a well deserved lunch. After lunch drive to Jaffa Gate. Walk through the Old City to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Following official recognition of Christianity, Emperor Constantine constructed here a vast sanctuary, built on what he believed was the site of Christ’s crucifixion and resurrection. Here you will see the last five Stations of the Cross. The building was destroyed in successive wars, transformed by Persians, and then rebuilt by the Crusaders. Continue your walk through the Christian Quarter and the bazaar. Proceed through the Roman Cardo to the Jewish Quarter and the Western (or Wailing) Wall. This is the last vestige of the ramparts that surrounded the Holy Temple of the Jews, built by Solomon and destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, rebuilt by Babylonian exiles, expanded by Herod and then burned down by Titus. Leave the Old City via Dung Gate and drive to Ashdod port.

Please note: The tour includes visiting the churches but does not include entering the Grotto in the Church of the Nativity or the Holy Grave. Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Ashdod, Jerusalem & Yad Vashem Museum
The Yad Vashem Museum and Mt. Zion are just two of the many highlights of this comprehensive full day program. From the pier, your motor coach will take you via the Judean Mountains to Jerusalem. Your first stop will be at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum—a sanctuary and temple of memories dedicated to the millions of Jews who died during World War II. A most impressive and complete documentary collection is housed within its informative museum, illustrating the persecution from 1933 to 1945. You will also visit the Children’s Memorial. Your next stop is at the Israel Museum. Here, you will visit the Second Temple Model of Jerusalem, reconstructing the topography and architecture of the city at the time of its destruction in A.D. 70. Then, visit the Shrine of the Book and see the Dead Sea Scrolls, possibly the most important archaeological find of the 20th century in the Holy Land. Re-board your coach and drive by the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, on your way to lunch. In the afternoon you will drive up Mt Scopus for a splendid panoramic view of the Old City and the Temple Mount. Continue to Mt Zion., where you will commence your walking tour. Starting at Zion Gate, stroll to the Jewish Quarter, renovated after the 1967 war. Visit the 2nd century Roman Cardo and walk down the hill to the Western (Wailing) Wall. Here you can touch the Herodian Stones that were once part of the Second Temple. After this enriching day, you will return to Ashdod and the ship.

Please note: Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Minimum age is 10 years. Tour does not operate on Saturdays or Holidays. Use of audio headset included will enhance your tour experience.

Haifa, Acre & View of the Bahai Gardens
Stop to view the Baha'i Gardens -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site -- from the upper terrace. These are the largest hanging gardens in the world. The shrine here is the second-holiest place for the world's Baha'i community. Continue your drive down Mt. Carmel, leaving Haifa and crossing the bay to Akko (Acre), the oldest city in the northern region. More than 4,000 years of recorded history will unfold before your eyes as you walk through Acre's narrow cobblestone passageways and colorful bazaar. The present-day town was built in the 18th century on the ruins of the 12th century Crusader city. Acre has changed hands and names many times over the millennia, but since 1948 it has returned to its biblical name of Akko. Visit the Crusaders' Halls, built by the Knights Hospitaller (the Knights of St. John) and the subterranean Crusader city. Walk past Al Jazzar's Mosque, built in the 18th century, through the bazaar to the port and Khan el-Umdan (Inn of the Pillars), a handsome 18th century caravanserai. Then, descend to the 12th century level again, this time to visit the unforgettable Templars' Tunnel. This amazing engineering feat is a tunnel more than 1,000 feet long, carved through solid stone, connecting the fortress (no longer standing) to the port (still intact). As its name implies, the tunnel was constructed by the Knights Templar -- the Crusaders charged with guarding the temple in Jerusalem. The Mamelluks forced the Templars to retreat to Acre, which was their last bastion in Israel until the Fall of Acre in 1291. The tunnel will lead you to the lighthouse and the sea wall.  After a morning of adventure, you will have some time to shop in the bazaar; then, return to Haifa and the ship.

Please note: The tour requires passing through tunnels, of which some are only four feet tall. Not suitable for those who suffer from claustrophobia, nor for those unable to bend and walk at the same time. Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Haifa, Beyond Ordinary: Jerusalem, Masada Deadsea, and Petra Overland
Day 1 - On the drive to Jerusalem, familiar names will catch your attention all along the way. Begin with a magnificent view over the Golden City from atop the Mount of Olives; then, walk through the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent the last moments before his arrest. Re-board your coach for the short drive to Mt. Zion, where you will visit the Room of the Last Supper. Enter the Old City via the Zion Gate for a walk through the Jewish Quarter and the Roman Cardo to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Emperor Constantine constructed a vast sanctuary here, on the site of Christ’s resurrection. Inside the church you will see the five last Stations of the Cross. After a pleasant lunch, drive to Bethlehem. There, you will visit the Church of Nativity built above the place where Christ is said to have been born. The actual Cave of the Nativity is a small crypt with a vaulted masonry roof. Poor Bethlehem families used the rocky hollows of the region as stables or dwellings, so the tradition that places the Nativity in a cave is not at odds with the story of the manger. After checking in and enjoying dinner at your hotel in Jerusalem, you’ll set off on a drive around the magnificently illuminated Old Town walls, stopping at the Dung Gate for a moonlit visit to the Western (or Wailing) Wall. This is the last vestige of the ramparts that surrounded the Holy Temple of the Jews built by King Solomon. Take time to touch the stones before returning to your hotel.
Day 2 – After an early  breakfast drive to Masada Fortress, located in the Judean Desert and looming high above the Dead Sea’s desolated landscape. In King Herod’s days Masada was a luxurious refuge complete with magnificent palaces and excavated rock cisterns to provide water supplies. Around A.D. 73, after a prolonged Roman siege, nearly 1,000 members of the Jewish faith took their own lives rather than face a future of slavery. A cable car will take you to the summit for a walk around the site of this last stand. Among the fascinating landmarks are the casement wall, the Northern Palace, the synagogue, cisterns, the Western Palace and the Roman ramp. Back down on the desert floor, you will drive to a hotel on the shores of the Dead Sea to enjoy a buffet lunch in the lowest place on the surface of our planet. After lunch you'll have the opportunity to take an 'unsinkable' swim in the extremely salty, mineral rich water of the Dead Sea. In the early afternoon, you will drive south to the Arava Border Crossing and enter Jordan. Your coach will take you to your hotel near Petra in time for dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3  -  After an early breakfast and hotel check-out, spend the morning hours exploring the magnificent site of Petra—a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The early hours of the day are the ideal time to see Petra, when the red rock displays its most vibrant colors. At the entrance, horses are available for the 10-minute walk to the Siq Canyon. The imposing and beautiful Siq is, in itself, one of the main attractions in Petra—it is a narrow passageway deeply incised into the rock and the walk through it takes about 30 minutes. The effort is rewarded by that awe-inspiring moment of first setting foot in Petra. Petra is an archaeological, anthropological, and geological phenomenon, with a history as colorful as the sandstone rock from which it was carved. The walk among the buildings and ruins is made easy by the endless sights and fascinating facts revealed along the way. Leaving Petra before noon, you will stop for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant; then, drive back to the Arava border crossing for a domestic flight back to Tel Aviv Airport where you will meet your transfer to your ship waiting at Ashdod Port.

Please note: Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Pack in particular comfortable walking shoes , bathing suit, head cover from the sun, sunscreen lotion. You must bring your passport for the visit to Bethlehem. There is a strenuous walk into and out of the Petra site along an inclined path that includes slippery and unpaved surfaces, suitable only for participants who are physically fit. It is approximately a half-mile walk (each way) from the entrance to the site to the beginning of the Siq (canyon). From there, participants must walk 2 miles (each way) through the canyon all the way to the ruins. Temperatures are high -- easily 105° at Petra. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. Shade is limited; please dress accordingly. Bring water. While there are a limited number of carriages, camels and donkeys available at Petra for transportation (at your own expense), they are strictly on a first-come, first-served basis and their use is in no way encouraged as they are not insured. If you choose to take the horse-drawn carriage, you do so at your own risk and there will be no narration during the bumpy ride that ends at the Treasury building. Your carriage driver will schedule a meeting time with you in front of the Treasury Building for the return ride. Expect delays; 20 minutes late is not considered late in Jordan. Guests wishing to arrange for a carriage ride must do so directly with their guide and pay the guide, not the carriage driver. Not suitable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Even if you engage a carriage or service animal, you must still travel on foot over uneven and inclined terrain in order to completely view the site. No guest is obliged to stay with the guided tour; guests who they feel they cannot continue (taking into consideration the return walk) can leave the group and return to the entrance on their own. Important: visas for Jordan will be obtained by the tour operator one week prior to the tour and guests do not need to obtain visas in advance.

Port Said, Day Trip to Cairo
As the capital of Egypt, Cairo has many of the main attractions in the country. The Pyramids of Giza come on the top of those attraction as it's the only wonder left from the old seven wonders.  You will have a 3.5-hour scenic drive from Port Said via air-conditioned motor coach. Your attractions today will include: The Great Pyramids of Giza built for the Pharaohs Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. They were constructed about 2500 BC with blocks of limestone from the plateau and from the Turah hills on the outskirts of Cairo. The only present-day survivor of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, required over 2,300,000 blocks of stone, each weighing about 2.5 tons. At its base, it covers 13 acres of land. See the mysterious Sphinx, located in what was once a quarry to the east of Chephren’s pyramid. One theory suggests this Pharaoh’s workers shaped the body into a lion and gave it their king’s face, as a guardian of the necropolis. Almost a thousand years after its construction, King Thutmose IV placed a stela between the front paws. It describes how the Sphinx had spoken to the then prince in a dream, promising him kingship if he cleared away the desert sand that was choking the Sphinx. Explore this and the many other legends surrounding this timeless regal figure. Egyptian Museum Of Antiquities: The Museum exhibits over 120,000 objects in its 107 halls, comprising the world’s greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts. Two grand halls containing countless artifacts and one room reserved for the golden treasures, all from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamun astound and delight visitors.

Please note: A meal will be included.  Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen and bring your sunglasses.

Alexandria Highlights
You will take a 45-minute motor coach ride to Alexandria, the second largest city in Egypt. Alexandria, known as "The Pearl of the Mediterranean", has an atmosphere that is more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern; its ambiance and cultural heritage distance it from the rest of the country although it is actually only 140 miles (225 km.) from Cairo.  You will visit The Catacombs, the largest known Roman burial site in Egypt, consisting of three tiers of tombs and chambers cut into the rock to a depth of about 115 feet (35 meters). Constructed in the 2nd century AD, probably as a family crypt, they were later expanded to hold more than 300 individual tombs.  There is even a banquet hall where grieving relatives paid their last respects with a funeral feast. Then see Pompey’s Pillar, a massive 82-foot-high (25 meters) pink granite column, which the Crusaders mistakenly credited to Pompey, that rises out of the remains of the famed Serapeum, an acropolis including a temple dedicated to the Goddess Isis, and Cleopatra’s library. The Roman Amphitheater is the only Roman amphitheater in Egypt, discovered quite recently, when the foundations for a new apartment building were being dug. The terraces, arranged in a semicircle around the arena, are extremely well-preserved.

Please note: Wear comfortable shoes, sunscreen and sunglasses. Lunch is included. Order of sites visited may vary.

Itea, Monastery of Ossios Loukas
Departing from the quayside, your motor coach will proceed along a picturesque and twisting road on a 45-minute drive where you can enjoy the relaxing views of the typical Greek countryside.  Standing impressively on the brow of a peaked hill facing south, the majestic Monastery of Ossios Loukas commands a spectacular view of the adjacent valley. In some ways surpassing the famous Byzantine Church at Daphne, the monastery forms one of the most impressive memorials to the artistic vitality of the empire, during the revival of prosperity under the Macedonian Dynasty (865 – 1059). The monastery bears the name of a local hermit, the Blessed Loukas (Ossios Loukas) of Stiri, who was famed for his austerity, the dignity of his life, his prophecies and the miraculous cures he performed. Departing the monastery your tour will return to the port via the town of Arachova, famous for its handmade woolen carpets. Itea, Mythology of Delphi
In antiquity Delphi was one of the world's most important religious centers. The Sanctuary of Apollo attracted a host of pilgrims who came to consult the oracle. Even now an aura of mystery surrounds the ruins of Delphi,a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exposed on a rocky slope. For sheer grandeur of natural beauty combined with ancient ruins, there is probably no other spot on earth that rivals Delphi. Visit the ancient Sanctuary of Apollo, where the celebrated oracle Pythia dwelt. Her ambiguous prophecies were known and respected all over the ancient world. Visit the Temple of Apollo, the Sacred Way, the amphitheater, the best preserved stadium of Greece, and the Castalian spring, where in ancient days the pilgrims had to wash before they were allowed to consult the oracle. In the Delphi museum, see such treasures as the Omphalos, which marked the center of the world, and the magnificent bronze Charioteer, one of the finest pieces surviving from the 5th century BC.

To begin the tour you will pass through the main part of town before entering the delightful countryside. You will notice that Corfu is more lush and verdant than most Greek islands. This becomes apparent as you pass groves of olive, orange and lemon trees, interfused with tall, graceful cypresses on your way to the village of Gastouri. The mansion has been restored by the state and the gardens with their statues have been left intact for visitors to admire. The tour will continue to Kanoni. At this site you will see the old cannon from which the name Kanoni came from. From above you will see the nunnery of Vlacherna and Mouse Island in the far distance. Corfu, Paleokastritsa & Boat Trip
This tour visits Paleokastritsa, the area of unique natural beauty on the northwestern shores of Corfu. It is known as the “Capri of Greece” for its rocky promontories cloaked in pine and cypress trees extending out into the sea, hiding small sandy bays and coves with crystal clear turquoise waters glimmering under the bright sun. In Paleokastritsa, you will take a 30-minute boat ride to the famous grottos of the area, the sea caves of “Nafsika,” “Saint Nikolas,” and the “Blue Eye.” Here, the natural ground formations combined with the minerals in the ground and the natural sunlight give life to amazing forms, colors and optical illusions. Upon your return to the main beach, you have free time to enjoy a refreshing dive in the turquoise waters, sunbathe on the soft sand or beach walk, before boarding the coach for the drive uphill to the traditional village of Lakones. You will be driving up the very same serpentine-like, narrow road where the famous car chase in the James Bond movie “For your Eyes only” was filmed.  In the village of Lakones, you can admire local village architecture more reminiscent of Italy than of typical Greek villages, before enjoying a “meze” (Greek snack) and tasting wines of the island at the local café at the “Bella Vista,” a location known for the spectacular and breathtaking views it commands over Paleokastritsa.

Please note: The trip to the caves is subject to sea and weather conditions.

Trapani, Walking Tour with Sicilian Coffee Break
Trapani is an attractive old port town, rediscovering its charms after years of neglect. Halfway between Europe and Tunis, it was a rich trading center throughout the early Middle Ages, then, flourished again in the 19th and early 20th centuries as a stronghold of the tuna-canning industry. After that, it went into decline, and became a salty old port. Then, it was selected to host the 2004 America’s Cup and received a massive injection of cash – buildings were restored, streets in the historic center pedestrianized – giving the town and its people a new confidence. These days Trapani is a thoroughly pleasant place to hang out for a couple of days. You will join your guide for a pleasant walking visit of the historical center of Trapani, with its many churches and palazzos with their ornate façades and elaborate interior, perfect examples of the Baroque style. At the end of the guided visit, enjoy a typical Sicilian coffee break including one cannolo and one coffee or one cappuccino, followed by 45 minute free time. At the conclusion of your tour you can leisurely walk back to the pier with your guide or continue to spend time in town returning to the ship on your own.
