You will see perhaps the most famous temple of the Ancient City, the Parthenon. Walking up a winding path towards the Acropolis, you will pass through the Propylaea, which is the entrance to the Acropolis and see the Erechtheum Temple, built between 421-405 B.C. and famous for its exquisite attention to detail. It is perched on a terrace overlooking the sea, with a medieval character that will delight you. You will stop near the center of Taormina, where your tour will begin on foot as your guide leads you along cobblestone streets to Palazzo Corvaja, a 15th century building adorned with classic double windows. Next, you will stroll to the spectacularly situated Greco-Roman Theatre built in the 3rd century B.C. Renowned for its unique acoustical qualities, it is still used for open-air concerts and boasts a beautiful view of Mount Etna and Naxos Bay below. You will also have free time to stroll or shop along the famous Corso Umberto before your bus departs to return to your ship.

Next, you’ll have a truly up-close and personal view of magnificent Mount Etna as you are guided on a walk over the new lava flows. You’ll see the steam created from the activity of Piano Provenzana and the wonderful views from atop one of Europe’s most active volcanoes. The name of Siracuse suggests a warm climate, blue skies, a beautiful bay, and the ancient ruins of a Greek city which was the rival of Athens.   You will board your bus for the 75-minute ride to Neapolis Archaeological Park which was created between 1952 and 1955 and contains many classical monuments. For security reasons you will only have access to the Greek Theatre and part of the Latomia del Paradiso, one of the ancient stone quarries; the other monuments can be viewed from a distance. This doesn’t detract in any way from the powerful fascination of this unique place. The Greek Theatre, dated back to 5th century B.C,. is one of the largest and best preserved theaters of the ancient world.  The Roman Amphitheater which is hewn out of the rocks, dates from 2nd century A.D., and the entrance and gangways for animals and gladiators can still be seen. You’ll proceed to Ortigia and walk about a half a mile to Old Town Ortigia.   You will visit Arethusa Fountain the legendary cradle of the city. From the nearby platform there is a view of the beautiful Bay of Siracuse, you will proceed to the Cathedral built in the 7th century on the foundation of the former Temple of Minerva, using the nine columns which can be seen on the north side and the 19 columns of the nave.

Leaving the pier by coach, you will begin with a brief drive through Messina for a 45-minute trip via the freeway and then motor along the coastal road bordered by villas, flowering gardens, and picturesque villages to reach Savoca. Its scenic beauty and historical-artistic heritage makes Savoca, one of the most attractive and unknown places of Taormina. In a private house in the village, "Bar Vitelli," houses a collection of local artisans' tools and photographs taken when Francis Ford Coppola shot scenes of "The Godfather II."  After a typical refreshment  begin a walking tour along the village's main street past two Churches of the 15th and 16th centuries, ( Santa Lucia and San Michele ) and to enjoy the view over the valley. Continue to Forza d'Agro, a 20-minute drive towards Taormina, a charming little village overlooking the Arab-Norman castle of Capo Sant'Alessio. In 1990, Al Pacino and Sophia Coppola arrived there to shoot scenes for the film, "The Godfather III." From the main square, a lane leads up to the circular steps, which ascend to the Gothic-Catalan portal in front of the Church of St. Agostino also known as “Triade.“  Before departing, see the Baroque Chiesa Madre.

One of the most famous meals  of Konavle is veal and potatoes baked under the iron bell. Times have changed, but the recipes and technology of preparing meals has remained the same at Novakovic Family house. The always fresh natural ingredients, and the old fashion ways of preparing them has long been a family secret. With this delicious meal, you will also have a glass of good wine, prepared from grapes grown in their own vineyards, kept for wine fans with special treatment. On this tour, you will be taken through all the parts of the Old City where some of the most memorable scenes from the ongoing cultural phenomenon, Game of Thrones, were filmed, including: The Pile Gate where King Joffrey was faced with a citizens’ riot and pelted with dung, the Lovrijenac Fort where the unsuccessful attack on King's Landing, known as the Battle of Blackwater, took place. The seemingly endless fortified walls will be seen from Lovrijenac where Tyrion Lannister and Varys took a stroll, with Tyrion uttering the immortal words: ''where is the god of tits and wine?” All of the filming locations and commentary  from your local guide will be accompanied by large, A4-sized photos that show the screen-shot from the appropriate episode and what took place. Of course, the people of Dubrovnik are also fiercely proud of their own fascinating history which your guide will also inform you about, alongside the Game of Thrones commentary. Continue your trip toward Gruda Village where Antonia Ruskovic has kept the tradition of the ancient handcraft of silk production. Silk is one of the oldest textile fibers known to mankind. The silk thread produced here is mostly used for embroidering the beautiful national costume of the Konalve region. You will be able to share in this magnificent cultural endeavor as you produce a silk thread in the age-old, traditional manner. Listen to an explanation of the whole process, from cocoon boiling, to thread reeling, dyeing, plying, reeling, weaving, and embroidering.  You will enjoy the hospitality of a host in the village for a welcome drink and cake. After this very unique experience you will continue your trip toward Dubrovnik for the guided walking tour of the Old Town.

Sibenik was founded by Croats more than a thousand years ago dating back to 1066. Sibenik has a well-preserved historical core of buildings and numerous architectural monuments. You will see its ancient fortresses and the Gothic – Renaissance Cathedral of St. Jacob, as well as narrow streets known as “kalas,” numerous churches around this town and its surroundings. Your walking tour will include a the old part of the town where you will visit the finest sites including the UNESCO world heritage site Cathedral of St. Jacob, one of the finest sacral monuments in Dalmatia.  You will see the exterior of City Hall, the Baroque Orthodox Church, as well as the historic nucleus with its stone streets, commercial and crafts center. You will board a motor coach and head along the Adriatic Coast toward the village of Stankovci.  You will visit the House of Dalmatian´s smoke house, learn about the method of production and specifics of Dalmatian prosciutto, taste and of course buy the products exactly where they're produced. This  manufacturing facility is equipped with the latest technological solutions, but also whenever possible, they are using natural system of drying using the strong Mediterranean wind - "bura." Enjoy your lunch of smoked meats, cheese, pate, fritaja, vegetables, salad and traditional Dalmatian Dessert. Join your motor coach for your 60-minute return to Zadar.

Your tour will begin on the pier and soon you will find yourself in the heart of this magnificent Old Town. This walking tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Zadar and built in 1324. It is dedicated to St. Anastasia, whose stone sarcophagus is in the apse to the left of the high altar. Further on your way you will pass close to the Church of St. Donatus which is believed to have been built at the beginning of the 9th century. It is circular in plan, with three naves.  You will visit the 16th century St Mary Church with a Romanesque bell-tower built at the beginning of the 12th century. On the upper floor of the convent, open to the public are rooms containing a collection of goldsmith´s work, relics and other valuable items. Your tour will end with a Marascino Liqueur Tasting. Liqueur production in Zadar is almost 400 years old. This liqueur is a bittersweet, clear liqueur flavored with Marasca cherries, which are grown in Dalmatia, Croatia, mostly around the city of Zadar. Honey is also part of the ancient recipe. The recipe for this liqueur was created by the apothecaries of the Dominican monastery at Zara, now Zadar, in Dalmatia, at the beginning of the 16th century.
