Proceed towards Al Jazirah Al Hamra which is the last authentic and traditional town still standing in the United Arab Emirates. Once a small island, its inhabitants subsisted on maritime and pearl trading before they abandoned their houses in the middle of the 20^th century, when the rush to modernize started. An undisturbed picture of life before the discovery of oil was left behind and preserved until today. This is a unique area for Ras Al Khaimah and the whole country. The Suwaidi Pearls Farm was established in 2005 by prominent Emirati Abdulla Al Suwaidi, and is the first farm of its kind in the Gulf region. The farm cultivates the Pinctada Radiata, otherwise known as the Gulf pearl oyster, using locally sourced mollusks that live in the natural creek in Al Rams. Abdulla Al Suwaidi’s Family is intrinsically linked to the history of pearling in the Gulf, dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries, and belonging to the Julfar Dynasty. The family background traces back to life in the Gulf region that has been entwined with the jewel of the ocean for over 7,000 years. His ancestors carried on with pearling for generations leading finally to the 20th century with his grandfather Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al-Suwaidi as one of the last remaining pearl divers of the Al Suwaidi legacy. Depart the pier for the approximately 1-hour drive along the new highway, Emirates Road, en route to Dibba.  Along the way, take in panoramic vistas of beautiful golden sands and the picturesque Hajar Mountains in the distance. Upon arrival in the small village of Dibba, embark the Omani dhow for a scenic and relaxing cruise along the Musandam Fjords. Arabic tea or coffee is served as you pass by white and salty mountains, beautiful caves, the deserted Haffa village and beaches of Ziggy. Next, your captain will select a suitable area for you to swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean.  Basic snorkeling equipment will be provided for those who wish to take a closer look at this beautiful underwater realm. Following your swimming and snorkeling session, a traditional, Arabian-style lunch will be served. After lunch, some additional time will be available for swimming, snorkeling or sunbathing. At the conclusion of your dhow cruise, return to the pier in Dibba and re-board your coach for the drive back to the ship.

Explore the dunes of the desert on this exhilarating off-road journey. Depart the pier via off-road vehicle for the drive through the desert. Along the way, you’ll pass through an area of rugged rocks and gleaming reddish sand dunes en route to Fossil Rock, where 80-million-year-old fossils are embedded in the ancient rock. You will also see Camel Rock, a curious formation protruding from the desert sand and shaped like the head of a camel. Enjoy an exciting sand-dune ride over the tall, undulating dunes and a short stop for refreshments.

This tour will take you along the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates, a region known for its beautiful beaches, the rugged Hajjar Mountain range and lush green expanses. From the pier, board your coach for a 10-minute drive to the 300-year-old Fujairah Castle, one of the largest forts of the Emirate. The Fujairah Fort is characterized by its position on a high hill overlooking the whole city. After a photo stop, leave Fujairah city and continue your scenic tour to the Fujairah Museum. The various rooms will permit you to discover the ancestral history and heritage found during the missions of excavation of archaeologists in the recent years. The museum houses old weapons, traditional costumes and artifacts. Other exhibits provide a glimpse at local lifestyle, past and present. A visit to Fujairah is not complete without the great photo opportunity of The  Grand Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the main mosque in the Emirate of Fujairah, and the second largest in the United Arab Emirates. Then drive to Fujairah Heritage Village that offers a unique insight into the history of the Arab region through its artistic displays. The houses feature the traditional architecture and materials used in the region. Some of the huts are made with bricks and mud while others are made with twigs and date leaves, showcasing the simplicity of a rural lifestyle.
 
Please note: This tour involves about 1300 feet (400 m) of walking on flat ground with some steps. Wear comfortable walking shoes and protect yourself from the sun.
