Here's a pub-crawl cleverly disguised as a shore excursion, designed to please the most discriminating beer palate and, of course, is also for those who are along strictly for the purpose of cultural enlightenment. Although Aalborg is most famous for its production of Aquavit, there is little doubt that the locals love their beer too. Aalborg is notoriously known, in Denmark, for the Jomfru Ane Gade (Virgin Anne Street); a street dedicated entirely to establishments where adult beverages are enthusiastically consumed. You will have a guided stroll to three of the most popular local watering holes. Starting out on foot from the pier, you will not have far to walk in order to find the first oasis. Step inside and learn about the specialty beers carried here - or in some cases brewed right here on the premises. Meet the barkeep and enjoy the first of a total of six 5 oz. beer tastings included in the tour. Your beer is served in a special Aalborg Beerwalk logo glass, which is yours to keep at the end of the tour. As you stroll from pub to pub, your guide will show you the Old Town of Aalborg and share stories from the colorful history of this northern town. Denmark is known as a bike friendly country and bicycles are both a sustainable means of transportation and part of the local lifestyle. Experience Aalborg on two wheels, like the locals, on a beautiful and enjoyable guided bike ride along the fjord. Get close to both the history of Aalborg and Denmark and find out more about the Danish way of living on this charming bike ride, which also includes a small refreshment stop. The ride along the harbor front will take you past two of Aalborg’s pride and local juggernauts during the industrial era: C.W Obels Tobacco Factory, one of the area’s largest factories, and also the Danish liquor factory and the producer of the world-famous schnapps, Red Aalborg Aquavit. The factories are not in use these days and the area is undergoing a transformation to become Aalborg’s new modern city, called Cloud City after the 98-foot-high (30-meter-high) artwork by the same name, made by the Argentinian artist Tomás Saracenos. You will see Fjordbyen, or the Fjord Village, said to be Aalborg’s answer to Copenhagen’s freetown Christiania. In spite of rules and regulations, the settlement was established on the edge of the beautiful Limfjord. But nowadays, the district is more or less legalized and inhabited by creative and artistic people, clearly shown in the small, self-built and often very colorful houses there. Next on, experience a brand-new recreation area in Aalborg. Vestre Fjord Park is an outdoor place for locals and guests, meant for swimming, relaxing and socializing. The area recently won a special price for its creative architecture and its interaction with the surrounding nature. You’ll make a refreshment stop here and re-fuel before biking your way back to the yacht.

Aalborg is Denmark’s 4^th largest city – a twin city sprawled on both sides of the Limfjord Sound which connects it to the open ocean 16 miles (25 km) away. Aalborg was founded by Vikings in the late 900’s and prospered on fishing and the land and sea trade going across and upon the Limfjorden. Board a motor coach on the pier to begin this Viking journey. Drive through the historic and idyllic countryside to reach your first stop; a re-creation of a Viking farmstead depicts everyday life for Viking farmers. The farm is a reconstruction of an actual farm found near Jelling—the hometown of Harald Bluetooth. During summer season, the farmstead is populated with local volunteer enthusiasts who dress in Viking garb and perform various household chores and cultural traditions, offering visitors a fascinating glimpse into the world of Vikings. You will also pay a visit to one of the oldest so-called Ring Fortresses built in Denmark around the year 980 AD, where you will enjoy a short glass of mead. Continue the journey across the bridge over the Limfjorden and soon you will find yourself at the ancient Viking site of Lindholm Hoje - one of the most important ancient monuments in Denmark. The burial site has 700 graves in stone settings and a settlement dating from the Late Iron Age and the Viking era. Follow your Viking expert guide close up to the burial site, where history becomes alive. Afterwards, explore the onsite museum, which contains a fascinating exhibition about the settlement on the area. Before continuing to the next stop, you will have a great chance to pick-up a real Viking Souvenir or Viking artifact. After your visit here, return to the yacht.

Voergaard Manor invites you in behind the moat and meter-thick walls to impress you with large collections of furniture, antiques, paintings, china, and silverware, including treasures from Louis XIV, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette's personal effects as well as works by Rubens, Raphael, Goya and El Greco. Behind the enchanting moat lies Voergaard Manor House, one of the finest Renaissance castles in Denmark. You will be met by your specialist guide, who will tell you stories of love and luck, the scariest ghost stories and show you the largest private collection of French art and artefacts outside of France. Discover all the amazing stories the Manor has to tell. The Manor House is decorated and furnished just as it was by the last owner, Count Oberbech-Clausen, who brought the large collection of furniture, antiques, paintings, china, and silverware from his possessions in France to Voergaard, including tapestry from the Vatican and treasures from Louis XIV, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette's personal effects as well as works by Rubens, Raphael, Goya and El Greco. In 1963, Oberbech-Clausen died and Voergaard was converted to a family trust, the aim of which was to preserve the castle for posterity and keep the collection open to the public. As you wander through the halls, you are walking in the footsteps of Templar Knights, former Kings of Denmark – and ghosts. The latter you will see in the tower, where the bloodstain is visible on the floor - each time it has been removed it reappears the day after. From this enchanting visit, the tour continues to the Borglum Abbey. Drive through small scenic villages, lining the route to the Abbey located to the West of Voergaard. The abbey is one of the oldest still existing abbeys in Denmark, dating back to the 11^th century. It has served as royal residence and abbey and, through decades, it has been the center of power in northwestern Jutland. The abbey is now owned by the Lord Chamberlain Hans Rottbøll and wife Anne who, together with their four children, reside in all of the abbey's 85 rooms. Upon arrival, you will have a guided tour of the abbey, visiting the church, the old kitchen and the stables - which also boasts a magnificent replica of the Bayeux Tapestries. After immersing yourself in the great place, filled with history and tales, enjoy a light refreshment in the form of coffee and Danish pastry, before returning to your yacht in Aalborg.

After a short transfer by van to Stavanger Airport you will join your experienced pilot for an amazing helicopter journey over Stavanger and the famous Lysefjord. Experience the magnificent scenery along the Archipelago and view Pulpit Rock on board an open-air rigid inflatable boat (RIB). After a short walk to the RIB boat pier you will meet your captain and be given a short safety briefing before being outfitted with a weatherproof suit and life jacket. You will begin your adventure at a slow pace along the beautiful harbor of Stavanger. Once the harbor is out of sight and you have crossed underneath the Stavanger Bridge, the RIB will speed up to 30-35 knots (37 mph) and cruise along the Archipelago. During your journey you might spot some of the local wildlife like sea eagles, seals or porpoises. Once you have reached the Lysefjord you will see the narrow gap into the Vagabond Cave and view the magnificence of Pulpit Rock from sea level. Your captain will also bring you close to one of the waterfalls falling from the steep, high cliffs above. He will navigate so close that you will be able to feel, smell and even taste the pure water freshness. After a breathtaking ride close to the vertical mountain cliffs, you will head back to Stavanger, where your adventure ends in the very center of Stavanger and only a short walk away from your ship.

An introduction to the celebrated Utstein Monastery, complete with a short organ recital, is a wonderful way to remember your visit to Stavanger. Your motor coach will travel through he world's longest underwater tunnel, 3 miles long,, to reach Moster Island. Vivid greens of all shades surround you as you continue toward Utstein Kloster, the best-preserved monastery in Norway. Originally it served as the royal residence for the very first Viking King of Norway, Harald Fairhair. Directly next to your ship you will embark a boat for a cruise into one of Norway's most stunning fjords, the so called "Fjord of the Light," or Lysefjord in Norwegian. The name comes from the lightly colored granite rock that rises sharply from the deep fjord. During your trip you can relax both outside and inside the vessel, while you marvel at the breathtaking natural wonders of this region. You will start by cruising alongside the many small islands of the Stavanger Archipelago on which many have built holiday homes with their own private piers. Leaving the archipelago, you will enter Lysefjorden with it steep sheer cliffs on both sides. From these steep cliffs many towering waterfalls spill gallons of fresh water from above into the salty fjord beneath. If weather permits you will get an amazing view of the famous Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock, that towers out over 1,969 feet above the fjord. Your cruise will take you directly underneath the Pulpit Rock to gaze at its marveling height. Before returning to Stavanger, you'll make a short stop at Helleren, an idyllic beach at the mouth of the Lysefjord. Here you will get to enjoy some of Norway's traditional waffles which are served with sour cream and sweet local fruit jams.

Just a short distance away from Flam you will find the the tiny village of Gudvangen or "place of the gods." This village has a long history dating back to pre-Christian times when Vikings worshiped their heathen gods. Today some of their ancestors have rebuilt a Viking Village giving you an opportunity to experience how the Vikings lived many centuries ago. Here you will learn about their gods, their traditions and livelihoods and you will be invited to practice some of their ancient crafts. Afterwards, continue your journey further into the Nærøy valley. Surrounded by steep mountains and some of the tallest waterfalls in Norway, this valley is considered one of the most beautiful in the country. Following the Nærøy river you will make your way towards Stalheim Hotel, from where you will have amazing views over the valley. These views and the tranquility of the site have inspired many painters, poets and other artists for decades. The history of the hotel goes back centuries when it was an important stop on the postal road between Bergen and Oslo. Today it is still an important tourist destination with the hotel’s traditional interior and amazing views. After enjoying a light refreshment at Stalheim you will begin your descent on the famous Stalheimkleiva, the steepest road in Norway with 13 sharp hairpin bends. The tour starts from the pier where the railway station is also conveniently located. On this tour you will experience the most dramatic train ride in Europe. The Flam Railway is only 12 miles long but a masterpiece of engineering. The train climbs up from sea level to 2,844 feet above sea level during these 12 miles, crossing back and forth across rivers and through 20 tunnels. To allow you a better view of the magnificent scenery the train will proceed slowly and even stop at the Kjosfossen Waterfall where you may leave the train to take a closer look or take some pictures. At Vatnahalsen you will leave the train and walk from the station to the Mountain Hotel where you will be served coffee, tea and waffles. The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of lovely Nordfjord, which cuts its way inland to the mighty ice fields of the Jostedals Glacier, Europe’s largest glacier. Briksdal Glacier, your destination on this tour, is one of its arms.Leaving Olden’s center by coach with your guide, you will pass two picturesque churches and the beautiful lakes Floren and Olden. Nordic walking began as a summer training exercise for serious ”cross-country” skiers. Fitness walkers in Europe adopted Nordic walking as a time-efficient, low- stress, total body workout and popularity is growing worldwide. Today,you will be invited on this invigorating and exciting walking excursion through the beautiful setting of Geiranger. You will meet the expert guide at the pier where a briefing on Nordic walking will take place, along with specially designed poles to work the upper body while you walk. Like cross-country skiing, the poles are used by the arms to match each step you take. Beginning the walk, proceed at a casual walking speed, but experience a full body workout as the walking poles raise the heart rate and exercise the arms. You will tour the hills and admire the mountain sides of Geiranger. Proceed uphill and over uneven terrain; however, the strenuous walk allows for wonderful views of the countryside. During the walk, stop at the village of Westerås, to enjoy a break, before continuing to Hole. After a brief stop, you will begin the Nordic walk back to the pier.

This tour will show you Geiranger and the spectacular Geirangerfjord from the most famous viewpoints in the area. You will board your motor coach departing from the pier. From the landing stage in Geiranger the drive goes uphill via the Ørnesvingen (Eagle’s Road) to a viewpoint, where you will see a breathtaking view of the fjord and your ship. After a photo stop, you will return to Geiranger and continue through the wild Flydal Valley along numerous hairpin bends to Lake Djupvatn. En route to the farm, enjoy a stop at the viewpoint at Ørnesvingen, or Eagle’s Bend, for panoramic views of the fjord and your ship. Åshild Dale and Jostein Sande have, since 1983, been the owners and farmers of a family-farm at Dale Fjord Farm, as well as 1/6 of Herdalssetra Mountain Summer Farm. This part of the big old Viking Age Farm has been in the Dale family since 1790. The fjord and mountain farms are operated as one unit – still travelling like “nomads” – using the resources where “the grass is greenest.” It is only possible to stay in the mountains from June to September. The rest of the year both animals and people live in the valley Norddal where you will be visiting. This flight combines the beautiful mountains, fjords, and archipelago from Bergen to Rosendal. Take in a bird’s-eye view of the Folgefonna Glacier just next to the Hardangerfjord. This is Norway’s 3rd largest glacier and the highest point is 5,417 feet (1,651m) above sea level. Arriving in Rosendal, you will take a step back in time as you are taken to the Baroniet Manor by horse carriage. The Baroniet Manor is the only manor of its kind in Norway. Around 1650 the noble Dane Ludwig Rosenkrantz came to Bergen as a war commissioner for the Danish King. In 1658 he married Norway’s wealthiest heir, Karen Mowat. As a wedding gift they were given the farm Hatteberg. They built their home there and called it Rosendal. In 1665 King Christian V of Denmark gave the estate Barony status and today it is known as the Baroniet Rosendal Manor. Here you will be greeted with a glass of champagne and be given a guided tour of the gardens and Manor, taking you through different epochs. You will visit room by room and experience the influence of the owners over 250 years. Around 1850 a beautiful landscape park was erected around the Barony. Here you may see 2,500 blooming roses during the summer season. Enjoy a private, candle light, 3-course dinner in one of the rooms in the Manor. Your horse-drawn carriage will then take you to your helicopter for your return flight to Bergen.

You will be taken by cable car to the highest of Bergen’s famous "Seven Mountains," Ulriken, to spectacular scenery and mountain terrain 2,100 feet above the city streets. From the summit, at the Sky:skraperen you will be introduced to one of the local specialties while you enjoy magnificent views of Bergen and the surrounding area - the sea, the islands, fjords, and mountains, before returning back to the lower station to board your motor coach for a short trip back to the pier.

Today’s tour will take you through the lovely scenery of the island of Mull to the small ferry port of Craignure. You will continue on from there across the south end of Mull to the hamlet of Fionnphort. You will leave your coach here to take the little foot ferry over to the idyllic island of Iona. Iona is steeped in Christian history and is regarded as the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland with the arrival of St. Columba in 563 A.D. and the founding of the abbey. Over a century ago, the abbey and monastic buildings were restored and, in 1938, the Iona community was founded to continue the tradition of worship in the abbey through daily services and teaching. Today, Iona remains a place of pilgrimage and spirituality. Depart your yacht this morning and travel via the “Plains of Heaven,” the magnificently scenic elevated highway that bisects the island running east to west, and the Southern Hills which offer panoramic views of the south of the island down to Cregnaesh where you will pause for photographs. Cregnaesh is the oldest settlement on the Isle of Man, a hamlet of white-washed, stone-walled thatched cottages, just as they were in 1900. Travel to The Sound, the most southerly point of the Island and one of the most scenic places in the British Isles. With excellent views of The Sound and the Calf of Man Nature Reserve, enjoy the sights and sounds of the flourishing Manx ecosystem with its abundance of wildlife and natural wonders. Often seals can be spotted basking on the rocky Kitterland (islet in The Sound) and sometimes dolphins and basking sharks can be seen. Look across to the Calf of Man, a renowned bird sanctuary where many migrating birds stop off for a rest on their journey to or from warmer climates. The visitor centre at The Sound Café provides a wide range of information about the local wildlife and the many wrecks of sunken ships that lie off the shore. Afterwards return to your yacht via the legendary “Fairy Bridge.” Don’t forget to say Laa Mie (good day) to the fairies!

This is one of the most beautiful walks on the island, renowned for its stunning coastal scenery, bird life and archaeological remains. Your tour will begin with a 30-minute drive by coach via the famous Fairy Bridge, where according to legend, you should greet ‘the little people’ to ensure a good journey. You will arrive at Castletown, the former capital of the Isle of Man. After a short stop and comfort break at Castletown, your walk will begin following part of the ‘Raad ny Foillan’ (the Way of the Gull). This is the Isle of Man’s long distance coastal footpath around Scarlett Head and here you will have the opportunity to see sea birds, plants, limestone outcrops and volcanic rocks against a backdrop of stunning scenery. This part of the exposed southern coast has an abundance of historic sites. There are traces of ancient forts, chapels, old farms, a WWII radar station and a now disused, flooded quarry which once supplied stone for the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The historic highlights of the walk are at Chapel Hill, Balladoole. Here you will see a Bronze Age burial site, an Iron Age hillfort, a Viking ship burial site and Keeill Vael (St Michael’s Chapel) which has extensive views over the south of the Island and the Iron Age and Norse promontory fort at Close ny Chollagh. At the conclusion of your walk, rejoin the coach and return to Castletown and then on to Douglas via a route with views over ‘the Plains of Heaven’ across the central valley and to the northern hills.

Please note: The route involves crossing several stiles with up to 9 steep wooden steps on both sides and walking on a mix of coastal grassland and farm tracks. This is a coastal location exposed to the weather. Uneven surfaces with occasional rabbit holes which can be slippery when wet and some areas can be muddy. Guests MUST bring warm, waterproof clothing appropriate to the weather on the day, carry water and wear sturdy footwear (boots or trainers / sneakers) with thick tread and ankle support. Castle Rushen is one of the best examples of a medieval castle in Europe and was the former seat of the Kings and Lords of Mann, with the Castle’s oldest part dating back to the time of Magnus, the last Norse King of Mann, who died here in 1266. The exact date when the Castle was built is unknown, though it is believed to be around 1200.
