The tour of the Storehouse will be followed by an opportunity to taste the world famous stout.  In the Guinness Storehouse, you will discover what goes into making a pint of the “blackstuff” – the ingredients, the processes, the effort. It is a dramatic story that began over 250 years ago and will end in Gravity, the sky bar, which has astonishing views of Dublin.  Often surprising, always entertaining, the adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building’s giant, pint shaped heart of glass.  You’ll “meet” Arthur Guinness and find out how the drink that carries his name has traveled around the world. You will also have the opportunity to spend some time in the Advertising Gallery in the Storehouse, where you will find a display of all Guinness advertising material past and present.    At the end of the tour, discover how important it is to “pull the perfect pint “ the way to hold the glass, the speed it enters the glass, the time for the pint to settle and the final touch that gives the pint a creamy head. The Isle of Man is the home of motorcycle racing and as such draws fans of the sport from all over the world.  If you have been nervous about riding motorbikes but have always wanted to  just have a go, at least once, this tour will let you fulfill this dream as passengers on a specially designed 3-seater Trike. The emphasis of this tour is on enjoyment rather than high speed; though when you are traveling at 30 mph it will feel more like 60 mph on the Trike when the wind is blowing through your hair!  You will experience the course that the world’s most daring riders have experienced, though you will not reach the 200 mph+ that they do. You will travel through some very pretty towns and villages, around tight twisty roads, over the renowned Ballaugh Bridge before riding over the spectacular Mountain area. You will have a short stop at the Creg-ny-Baa, before returning to Douglas.

Depart your yacht this morning and travel via the “Plains of Heaven,” the magnificently scenic elevated highway that bisects the island running east to west, and the Southern Hills which offer panoramic views of the south of the island down to Cregnaesh where you will pause for photographs.  Cregnaesh is the oldest settlement on the Isle of Man, a hamlet of white-washed, stone-walled thatched cottages, just as they were in 1900. Travel to The Sound, the most southerly point of the Island and one of the most scenic places in the British Isles. With excellent views of The Sound and the Calf of Man Nature Reserve, enjoy the sights and sounds of the flourishing Manx ecosystem with its abundance of wildlife and natural wonders. Often seals can be spotted basking on the rocky Kitterland (islet in The Sound) and sometimes dolphins and basking sharks can be seen. Look across to the Calf of Man, a renowned bird sanctuary where many migrating birds stop off for a rest on their journey to or from warmer climates. The visitor centre at The Sound Café provides a wide range of information about the local wildlife and the many wrecks of sunken ships that lie off the shore. Afterwards return to your yacht via the legendary “Fairy Bridge.”  Don’t forget to say Laa Mie (good day) to the fairies!

This is one of the most beautiful walks on the island, renowned for its stunning coastal scenery, bird life and archaeological remains.  Your tour will begin with a 30-minute drive by coach via the famous Fairy Bridge, where according to legend, you should greet ‘the little people’ to ensure a good journey. You will arrive at Castletown, the former capital of the Isle of Man. After a short stop and comfort break at Castletown, your walk will begin following part of the ‘Raad ny Foillan’ (the Way of the Gull). This is the Isle of Man’s long distance coastal footpath around Scarlett Head and here you will have the opportunity to see sea birds, plants, limestone outcrops and volcanic rocks against a backdrop of stunning scenery. This part of the exposed southern coast has an abundance of historic sites. There are traces of ancient forts, chapels, old farms, a WWII radar station and a now disused, flooded quarry which once supplied stone for the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The historic highlights of the walk are at Chapel Hill, Balladoole. Here you will see a Bronze Age burial site, an Iron Age hillfort, a Viking ship burial site and Keeill Vael (St Michael’s Chapel) which has extensive views over the south of the Island and the Iron Age and Norse promontory fort at Close ny Chollagh.  At the conclusion of your walk, rejoin the coach and return to Castletown and then on to Douglas via a route with views over ‘the Plains of Heaven’ across the central valley and to the northern hills.

Please note: The route involves crossing several stiles with up to 9 steep wooden steps on both sides and walking on a mix of coastal grassland and farm tracks. This is a coastal location exposed to the weather. Uneven surfaces with occasional rabbit holes which can be slippery when wet and some areas can be muddy. Guests MUST bring warm, waterproof clothing appropriate to the weather on the day, carry water and wear sturdy footwear (boots or trainers / sneakers) with thick tread and ankle support. Walking poles may be helpful, but this route is not suitable for users of wheelchairs, walking sticks or other walking aids.This is a walking tour and is not suitable for guests with limited walking or walking aids.

Departing from the pier, take a scenic drive to Castletown and enjoy a visit to the magnificent Castle Rushen which stands alongside the harbor. Castle Rushen is one of the best examples of a medieval castle in Europe and was the former seat of the Kings and Lords of Mann, with the Castle’s oldest part dating back to the time of Magnus, the last Norse King of Mann, who died here in 1266. The exact date when the Castle was built is unknown, though it is believed to be around 1200. Today, spectacular displays illustrate the Castle at various times in history, with figures in period costume, historical furnishings, wall hangings and medieval speech bringing the Castle's medieval and 17th century periods to life. Following your visit of the Castle, time permitting, you will enjoy some free time before re-joining your coach for the short transfer to Castletown station. Board the vintage steam train for a delightful and traditional journey to Douglas.  Dating from 1874, the Isle of Man Steam Railway is the Island’s oldest Victorian rail impressive Victorian terminus in Douglas and re-join your coach for the short transfer back to the pier.

Drive over the first of the Churchill Barriers, built during the Second World War to protect Scapa Flow. You will visit the beautiful, hand-painted Italian Chapel, built by Italian prisoners of war who were interned on this small island during World War II. The chapel stands as a lasting memorial to peace but also to the ingenuity and skill of the prisoners. You will continue your journey to Highland Park to discover Orkney’s highly acclaimed 12-year-old malt whisky at the world’s most northerly whisky distillery. Here there will be an opportunity to tour the distillery and try a wee dram! Returning to Kirkwall you will visit the beautiful 12th  century sandstone St. Magnus Cathedral, built by the Vikings during their 700-year rule over the islands.

This is a wonderful tour for exploring the South Isles of Orkney and sampling some local produce. You will leave Orkney’s biggest island and follow the coast of Scapa Flow on a 30-minute drive to the smaller South Isles. You will then continue to the Fossil and Heritage Centre.  Here you will learn more about the heritage of Orkney and the building of the Churchill Barriers in addition to an opportunity to learn more about Orkney’s geological history before returning to the ship.

You will start this tour with a short coach transfer from Kirkwall to Stromness. On arrival in Stromness you will begin a walking tour with your informative guide from the picturesque harbor along the pretty flag-stoned street of this seafaring town. Making your way along the twists and turns of the street, you will explore the narrow lanes and tiny piers which intersect the street along its length. Stromness is a town of quirky architectural character, with many connections to the famous Hudson's Bay Company. You will hear fascinating stories about Stromness’ maritime history as well as learning about its arts and literary heritage. Following your walk you will have the option to visit the Stromness Museum and the beautifully refurbished Pier Arts Centre (time permitting) with exhibitions by both local and international artists. There will be time to explore the craft shops selling local knitwear, pottery, and art work before your coach returns you to Kirkwall

Depart Kirkwall and head into the west of Mainland, Orkney’s largest island. This tour passes through gentle rolling landscape and into the Neolithic Heartland of Orkney; an area designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site due to its wealth of pre-historic archaeology.  Passing the Standing Stones of Stenness you will stop at the Ring of Brodgar; a huge ceremonial circle of stones dating back almost 5,000 years.  You then continue on to the 5000-year-old village of Skara Brae, beautifully interpreted in the visitor center.  See the remarkable dwellings revealed from beneath the sand dunes by storms only 150 years ago.  From here it is only a 656-foot walk to visit Skaill House, Orkney’s finest manor.  Skaill was built by Bishop George Graham in 1620 on the site of a farmstead thought to date to the Norse period.  In its 400 year history all 12 of its Lairds have been related and all have contributed to the history and collection in the house. Return to your coach and continue this circular route following the coastline of Scapa Flow, made famous for its role in both World Wars.

Please note: The ground around the Ring of Brodgar is very soft and not suitable for wheelchairs or people with mobility issues.  Wear comfortable walking shoes and warm clothing.

This enriching excursion will take you south of Bergen to view a remarkable wooden church and to visit the home of Norway's famed composer, Edvard Grieg. You will drive through the residential areas south of Bergen, towards Fana and the Stave Church. The old Stave Church at Fantoft was originally built in Fortun in Sogn in 1150, and was moved to Fantoft in 1883 to save it from demolition and preserve it as part of the nation’s heritage.  After a destructive 1992 fire, artisans extensively and faithfully restored the church to its former beauty. Inside, you can admire the traditional timber construction and elaborately carved decoration. From spiritual faith to musical brilliance, you'll also visit Troldhaugen, home of Norway's famed composer Edvard Grieg.  Troldhaugen was built in 1885 and Edvard Grieg lived there for 22 years together with his wife Nina. Grieg composed many of his best-known works in the composer’s hut by the shore of Lake Nordås. Enjoy a guided tour of the Villa, museum and the garden and some free time to walk around on your own afterwards. Your visit will end with the highlight of the tour; a private recital in Troldsalen. One of the best interpreters of Grieg’s music will play some of the famous pieces as well as some of the more unknown ones, and tell stories and anecdotes about the composer and his wife.

You will begin your walk past Bryggen (UNESCO World Heritage Site) where your guide will tell you about the legendary Hanseatic site. You will see the famous Fish Market and continue to the most popular attraction in Bergen, the funicular, that ascends to Mount Fløyen. From its 1,050-foot-height, you will admire the beautiful landscape of the city and the fjords from above, one of the most spectacular views in Norway. At the top of Mount Fløyen you will begin your hike across the mountain to Ovre Eide Farm.  You will discover the unique nature of Norway, passing lakes, wild rivers and breathtaking views.  At the top of Mount Sandviken you will make a brief stop to enjoy some chocolate. Afterward, you will descend into the valley of the old mail route between Trondheim and Bergen to reach our final destination, Øvre-Eide Farm. Øvre-Eide Farm is located in the idyllic surroundings of Lake Jordal. The owner of the farm is also a confectioner and he will lovingly prepare some typical Norwegian specialties for you. Enjoy the pleasure of listening to exciting stories about the traditional farm life in the countryside of Norway while enjoying a traditional meal!

Your guide will give you a brief overview on how to operate the Segway before you begin your ride through Bergenhus Fortress and its beautiful park. Continuing on to historical Bryggen (UNESCO World Heritage Site) you will pass the fish market. Your adventure will also take you by Bergen Aquarium and into Nordnes Park, one of Bergen’s most beautiful parks on the farthest end of the town.  Driving along the classic alleyways of Bergen you will head toward the National Norwegian Theater, the Blue Stone, John’s Church and Lille Lungegårdsvannet.  At Fjellveien you will have a wonderful view over the center of Bergen and the surrounding areas before you head back down to the city center to Bergenhus Park.

Begin your tour with a walk to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Bryggen. Here you will wander through the narrow streets between the houses dating back to 18th century. Your guide will take you on a journey back in time, where you will learn more about the fascinating development of the old Hanseatic city. Stop and admire St. Mary’s Church dating back to 1170 and one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Norway. Continue your walk to Mount Floyen Funicular station, Bergen’s most famous mountain. At the top of the mountain you can enjoy some free time with a spectacular view of Bergen. On your way back to the ship you will learn more about Bergen in the 20th century and you will make a stop at Fisketorget, the fish market, located at the very heart of Bergen. Here you can choose whether to stay in the city center or follow your guide back to the ship.

On this introduction to lovely Bergen you will board a motor coach to sightsee through downtown Bergen with its old wooden Hanseatic pier, Bryggen, the medieval King Håkon’s Hall, erected during the reign of King Håkon Håkonsson, the Rosenkrantz Tower, St. Mary’s Church, built around 1170, and one of the finest examples of Romanesque architecture in Norway, the peninsula Nordnes, Bergen Theater (Den National Scene), and Grieghallen, the modern concert hall named after Norway’s great composer, Edvard Grieg. Your tour will continue over to Kalfaret, the noble residential area of Bergen, and on to the main attraction of the day - Ulriken Mountain. You will be taken by cable car to the highest of Bergen’s famous "Seven Mountains," Ulriken, to spectacular scenery and mountain terrain 2,100 feet above the city streets.  From the summit, at the Sky:skraperen you will be introduced to one  of the local specialties while you enjoy magnificent views of Bergen and the surrounding area - the sea, the islands, fjords, and mountains, before  returning back to the lower station to board your motor coach for a short trip back to the pier.  

Please note:  People can stay on the motor coach if walking becomes too strenuous during the tour. There is a ramp and lift at the Ulriken cable car.

Nordic walking began as a summer training exercise for serious ”cross-country” skiers. Fitness walkers in Europe adopted Nordic walking as a time-efficient, low- stress, total body workout and popularity is growing worldwide. Today,you will be invited on this invigorating and exciting walking excursion through the beautiful setting of Geiranger.   You will meet the expert guide at the pier where a briefing on Nordic walking will take place, along with specially designed poles to work the upper body while you walk. Like cross-country skiing, the poles are used by the arms to match each step you take. Beginning the walk, proceed at a casual walking speed, but experience a full body workout as the walking poles raise the heart rate and exercise the arms.  You will tour the hills and admire the mountain sides of Geiranger. Proceed uphill and over uneven terrain; however, the strenuous walk allows for wonderful views of the countryside. During the walk, stop at the village of Westerås, to enjoy a break, before continuing to Hole. After a brief stop, you will begin the Nordic walk back to the pier.

Please note: Guests must be in good physical condition to participate on this excursion. Uphill walking, uneven, gravel and paved terrain will be encountered. 

This tour will show you Geiranger and the spectacular Geirangerfjord from the most famous viewpoints in the area.  You will board your motor coach departing from the pier. From the landing stage in Geiranger the drive goes uphill via the Ørnesvingen (Eagle’s Road) to a viewpoint, where you will see a breathtaking view of the fjord and your ship. After a photo stop, you will return to Geiranger and continue through the wild Flydal Valley along numerous hairpin bends to Lake Djupvatn. Afterwards you will continue along the fascinating road to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba (5,000 ft. elev.). From here you will be able to see far beyond the Geirangerfjord on a clear day. On the way back to Geiranger and to your waiting yacht, there will be a photo stop at Flydalsjuvet viewpoint.

Please note: There are steps to access the motor coach, no wheelchair elevator and wheelchairs must be collapsible.  The ride along Eagle’s Road contains several hairpin turns. 

Experience the magnificent Geirangerfjord in a safe and comfortable open RIB (rigid inflatable boat). You will be met at your ship to walk to the RIB launch.  You will receive an introduction to the RIB and how to use the waterproof safety suits. In high speed with sea spray in your face you will enjoy a trip through the Geirangerfjord accompanied by your expert guide. You will make photo stops at the famous waterfalls Seven Sisters, the Suitor and the Bridal Veil, and get very close to the falls.  You will view the abandoned farms along the Geirangefjord such as Skageflå, Knivsflå, Blomberg, and Matvik, all of which reveal the life along the fjord many years back.

En route to the farm, enjoy a stop at the viewpoint at Ørnesvingen, or Eagle’s Bend, for panoramic views of the fjord and your ship. Åshild Dale and Jostein Sande have, since 1983, been the owners and farmers of a family-farm at Dale Fjord Farm, as well as 1/6 of Herdalssetra Mountain Summer Farm. This part of the big old Viking Age Farm has been in the Dale family since 1790. The fjord and mountain farms are operated as one unit – still travelling like “nomads” – using the resources where “the grass is greenest.” It is only possible to stay in the mountains from June to September. The rest of the year both animals and people live in the valley Norddal where you will be visiting. Refreshments will be served, highlighted by a special treat of homemade goat caramel – a taste not to be missed!

The village of Olden is situated at the end of the innermost arm of lovely Nordfjord, which cuts its way inland to the mighty ice fields of the Jostedals Glacier, Europe’s largest glacier. Briksdal Glacier, your destination on this tour, is one of its arms.Leaving Olden’s center by coach with your guide, you will pass two picturesque churches and the beautiful lakes Floren and Olden. At the end of the valley lies Rustøen, around which numerous waterfalls tumble from the ice field. The road ascends through woodlands to the Briksdalen Inn, where you will leave the coach.  The powerful Briksdal Glacier is a part of the Jostedal Glacier National Park. The wild glacier swoops down from a height of 3,927 feet to the lush, narrow Briksdal Valley. When you arrive at Briksdal Fjellstove the “Troll cars” will be waiting to take you safely to where the road ends – at the famous glacier. It’s a fantastic trip on a narrow road that crosses the foaming glacier stream twice.  You will return to Briksdal Fjellstove which has been the meeting place for hill walkers and mountaineers in Briksdalen for several generations. Here you will be served some coffee/tea and cake before your return by bus to Olden and the ship.

Enjoy a scenic 50-minute drive to Kjenndal Glacier, where you can take a leisurely stroll to have a closer look at the lowest glacier arm of the mighty Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier in mainland Europe. Leave the charming village of Olden, at the head of the beautiful Nordfjord, you will drive along its shores toward the popular village of Loen. This small village offers you the pleasure of its fjord, Loen Lake, glaciers, high mountains and luxuriant plant life. Continue to the Kjenndal Valley where you will experience the lovely, troll-like atmosphere in Lodalen, and the jade green, mirror of Loen Lake. You will be surrounded by mountains covered by protruding glacier arms.  Upon arrival at the trailhead you can take a short stroll to the glacier viewpoint where you can view the magnificent Kjenndal Glacier nestled between two high mountain tops with glistening waterfalls. Continuing to Kjenndalstova, situated on the shore of Lake Loen, you will enjoy waffles and coffee in beautiful surroundings.  

Please note:  It is recommended that guests dress in layered clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes and are prepared for inclement weather.  The optional walk to the viewpoint is on a dirt and gravel path with gradual slopes and is approximately .5 miles round trip.

The tour starts from the pier where the railway station is also conveniently located. On this tour you will experience the most dramatic train ride in Europe. The Flam Railway is only 12 miles long but a masterpiece of engineering. The train climbs up from sea level to 2,844 feet above sea level during these 12 miles, crossing back and forth across rivers and through 20 tunnels. To allow you a better view of the magnificent scenery the train will proceed slowly and even stop at the Kjosfossen Waterfall where you may leave the train to take a closer look or take some pictures. At Vatnahalsen you will leave the train and walk from the station to the Mountain Hotel where you will be served coffee, tea and waffles. On your safari into the fjord you might spot some of the local wildlife like seals or sea eagles, native to this area.  You will see farms that have been abandoned or are used only during the summer months.   Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as your experienced captain navigates close to one of the many waterfalls along the fjord.

The tour starts from the pier where the railway station is also conveniently located. On this tour you will experience the most dramatic train ride in Europe. The Flam Railway is only 12 miles long but a masterpiece of engineering. The train climbs up from sea level to 2,844 feet above sea level during these 12 miles, crossing back and forth across rivers and through 20 tunnels. To allow you a better view of the magnificent scenery the train will proceed slowly and even stop at the Kjosfossen Waterfall where you may leave the train to take a closer look or take some pictures. At Vatnahalsen you will leave the train and walk from the station to the Mountain Hotel where you will be served coffee, tea and waffles. Experience the magnificent scenery along the Archipelago and view Pulpit Rock on board an open-air rigid inflatable boat (RIB). After a short walk to the RIB boat pier you will meet your captain and be given a short safety briefing before being outfitted with a weatherproof suit and life jacket.  You will begin your adventure at a slow pace along the beautiful harbor of Stavanger. Once the harbor is out of sight and you have crossed underneath the Stavanger Bridge, the RIB will speed up to 30-35 knots (37 mph) and cruise along the Archipelago. During  your journey you might spot some of the local wildlife like sea eagles, seals or porpoises. Once you have reached the Lysefjord you will see the narrow gap into the Vagabond Cave and view the magnificence of  Pulpit Rock from sea level.  Your captain will also bring you close to one of the waterfalls falling from the steep, high cliffs above. He will navigate so close that you will be able to feel, smell and even taste the pure water freshness. After a breathtaking ride close to the vertical mountain cliffs, you will head back to Stavanger, where your adventure ends in the very center of Stavanger and only a short walk away from your ship.

An introduction to the celebrated Utstein Monastery, complete with a short organ recital, is a wonderful way to remember your visit to Stavanger. Your motor coach will travel through he world's longest underwater tunnel, 3 miles long,, to  reach Moster Island. Vivid greens of all shades surround you as you continue toward Utstein Kloster, the best-preserved monastery in Norway.  Originally it served as the royal residence for the very first Viking King of Norway, Harald Fairhair.  From the 13th  century onward, Augustine monks lived in this peaceful countryside and a massive restoration project began in 1937 and continued until 1965.  Begin your guided tour of Utstein Monastery and discover the history of this haunting building along with the different  eras the monastery has witnessed and the remains of each of them in the current structure.  A short organ recital will be performed in the chapel. Returning to old Stavanger, disembark your motor coach for a short walk through the old town back to the harbor. Stroll along narrow streets and view picturesque, white-painted, wooden houses with small, colorful gardens.

Directly next to your ship you will embark a boat for a cruise into one of Norway's most stunning fjords, the so called "Fjord of the Light," or Lysefjord in Norwegian. The name comes from the lightly colored granite rock that rises sharply from the deep fjord. During your trip you can relax both outside and inside the vessel, while you marvel at the breathtaking natural wonders of this region. You will start by cruising alongside the many small islands of the Stavanger Archipelago on which many have built holiday homes with their own private piers. Leaving the archipelago, you will enter Lysefjorden with it steep sheer cliffs on both sides. From these steep cliffs many towering waterfalls spill gallons of fresh water from above into the salty fjord beneath. If weather permits you will get an amazing view of the famous Preikestolen, or Pulpit Rock, that towers out over 1,969 feet above the fjord. Your cruise will take you directly underneath the Pulpit Rock to gaze at its marveling height.  Before returning to Stavanger, you'll make a short stop at Helleren, an idyllic beach at the mouth of the Lysefjord.  Here you will get to enjoy some of Norway's traditional waffles which are served with sour cream and sweet local fruit jams.

Discover the Old World beauty and architecture of Copenhagen during a scenic, debarkation tour of this historic Danish capital, concluding with a transfer to the airport for your flight home.  After disembarking the ship, your sightseeing tour will begin with a photo stop at the Little Mermaid, the famous bronze sculpture which is considered to be the “Symbol of Copenhagen.”  From here, a visit will be made to the courtyard of the Amalienborg Palace which consists of four identical rococo palaces surrounding the spacious octagonal Palace Square.  You will drive through the colorful canal area of Nyhavn, a trendy area of Copenhagen, with many cafés and restaurants along the canal.  From here, continue on for a photo stop at the Christiansborg Palace, home of the Danish Parliament and the Queen's Reception rooms. Your tour will conclude with a scenic sightseeing drive through the city.  Along the way, pass by the City Hall and Square, Strøget Pedestrian Street, which is filled with shops, boutiques and cafés, and the world-famous Tivoli Garden, home to a wealth of flowers, restaurants and entertainment.  Afterward, drive by the Glyptotek Art Museum and the Old Stock Exchange, then through Christianshavn before taking the beautiful coastal road of Amager Island to the airport for your flight home.
