Begin your excursion with your visit to La Laguna, located about 30 minutes from the pier. During your engaging walking tour you will discover a beautiful city, currently the second most important of the island and once its capital. Wander through the old quarter, where you will glimpse a history dating to the 17th and 18th centuries, passing Plaza del Adelantado, Leal Theatre, Plaza de la Concepción, Plaza del Cristo with its notable church, and Palacio del Obispo, or Bishop’s Palace. A tasting of wine and appetizers will be served in a traditional bar. Then you will journey back to Santa Cruz de Tenerife for a narrated motor coach introduction to the capital city, situated in the northwest part of the island and serving as the administrative and political hub of the Canary Islands. You will come to appreciate why Santa Cruz is known as a lively city and one of the busiest and most vital ports of Spain. Learn about the region’s human and natural history with a visit to the Man & Nature Museum, located in the Old Civil Hospital. Inspect exhibits that unfold over three floors, highlighting information about the Canarian Archipelago, including its volcanic origins and plant and wildlife.
