Visit St. Rocco's Church and see its greatest treasures - writings and fresco paintings from the 16th century. The water in the fjord is less transparent and less salty than the open sea due to many springs, and the temperatures of the water in the fjord fluctuate. The water here also contains a large amount of plankton and oxygen so it provides abundant flora and fauna. The area is a natural hatching site for many fish species but is known for its oysters which even impressed Anthony Bourdain. The best way to visit Rovinj Archipelago and Lim Fjord is by boat, so join this adventure and see the beauties from a different perspective while trying the tasty shellfish of this region.

Departing from Zadar you will enjoy a scenic sail through Zadar Channel and Mali Zdrelas Passage toward Sabusa Beach. Here you will have time to enjoy the crystal clear Adriatic Sea. Sail towards Kukljica, a small village on the island of Ugljan. Kukljica is situated near the Strait of Ždrelac and it has been called the door to Telašcica Nature Park and Kornati National Park. A stop will be made at Kostanj Bay and Sabusa Beach for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. Then sail toward the Island of Oslja., a light lunch of cold dishes (cheese, ham, salad, fresh fruit) will be served on board. The island of Ošljak is the smallest permanently inhabited island on the Adriatic. It has a protected landscape where olives, pinewoods and cypress give shade to the rocky beaches. The old fishing port with a church from the 5th century is one of the most colorful places in the whole Adriatic. You will leave Osljak Village to head for Preko Village, where their old center consists of typical Dalmatian architecture and numerous patrician family summer houses. The best way to feel the Mediterranean atmosphere is by walking along the quay or sipping a favorite drink on one of the terraces with a view of the Zadar Channel. Here you will have time for swimming or strolling through the Village. Rejoin your sailing boat and continue back to Zadar.

Sibenik was founded by Croats more than a thousand years ago dating back to 1066. Sibenik has a well-preserved historical core of buildings and numerous architectural monuments. You will see its ancient fortresses and the Gothic – Renaissance Cathedral of St. Jacob, as well as narrow streets known as “kalas,” numerous churches around this town and its surroundings. Your walking tour will include a the old part of the town where you will visit the finest sites including the UNESCO world heritage site Cathedral of St. Jacob, one of the finest sacral monuments in Dalmatia.  You will see the exterior of City Hall, the Baroque Orthodox Church, as well as the historic nucleus with its stone streets, commercial and crafts center. You will board a motor coach and head along the Adriatic Coast toward the village of Stankovci.  You will visit the House of Dalmatian´s smoke house, learn about the method of production and specifics of Dalmatian prosciutto, taste and of course buy the products exactly where they're produced. This  manufacturing facility is equipped with the latest technological solutions, but also whenever possible, they are using natural system of drying using the strong Mediterranean wind - "bura." Your tour will begin on the pier and soon you will find yourself in the heart of this magnificent Old Town. This walking tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, the finest example of Romanesque architecture in Zadar and built in 1324. It is dedicated to St. Anastasia, whose stone sarcophagus is in the apse to the left of the high altar. Further on your way you will pass close to the Church of St. Donatus which is believed to have been built at the beginning of the 9th century. It is circular in plan, with three naves.  You will visit the 16th century St Mary Church with a Romanesque bell-tower built at the beginning of the 12th century. On the upper floor of the convent, open to the public are rooms containing a collection of goldsmith´s work, relics and other valuable items. Your tour will end with a Marascino Liqueur Tasting. Liqueur production in Zadar is almost 400 years old. This liqueur is a bittersweet, clear liqueur flavored with Marasca cherries, which are grown in Dalmatia, Croatia, mostly around the city of Zadar. Honey is also part of the ancient recipe. The recipe for this liqueur was created by the apothecaries of the Dominican monastery at Zara, now Zadar, in Dalmatia, at the beginning of the 16th century.

The largest of these, also named Hvar is the tour starting point. After a 30-minutes scenic drive you will reach Starigrad Plain and the town of Hora. This plain was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 2008. Visit the Lavender Museum there. View the beauties of nature,and  feel the lavender.  After your delightful time preparing and eating your breakfast you will depart Hora for the short scenic drive to Starigrad. This small town is famous for its large bay, which has long inspired artists and poets. Starigrad is a crowning glory in this majestic countryside. After a short guided tour you will have about an hour of free time in the town before continuing your ride back to Hvar.

Your half day adventure starts near Fort Lovrjenac in the small port called Pile. Accompanied by instructors, you will set off by kayak to explore the caves and beauty of Lokrum Island where you will have free time for swimming or island exploring.  In the 12th century, Benedictine monks built a monastery on the island, and they occupied it for over 600 years. See the remains of the monastery, a large part of which has been converted into a residence for Maximillian, Emperor of Mexico, who has owned the island since the 19th century.  You will see plants from all over the world growing here by a little lake called Mrtvo More (meaning Dead Sea), situated in the center of the island, which links with the open sea by an underground channel. Just before departing Lokrum Island, enjoy picnic-style refreshments. Upon your return, you’ll agree that this easy paddling in kayaks is a unique way to get acquainted with Dubrovnik from the seaside!

This is an opportunity to explore the beautiful natural setting of the green and fertile Konalve Valley. You will board your motor coach for a scenic drive to the village of Ljuta where you will visit the Old Mill called Mlinica Dvori which is still in function today. Here you will be able to see a demonstration of flour production using traditional methods in a water power stone mill. Enjoy a welcome drink of home-made liqueurs or a soft drink and dried figs. Continue your trip toward Gruda Village where Antonia Ruskovic has kept the tradition of the ancient handcraft of silk production. Silk is one of the oldest textile fibers known to mankind. The silk thread produced here is mostly used for embroidering the beautiful national costume of the Konalve region. You will be able to share in this magnificent cultural endeavor as you produce a silk thread in the age-old, traditional manner. Listen to an explanation of the whole process, from cocoon boiling, to thread reeling, dyeing, plying, reeling, weaving, and embroidering.  You will enjoy the hospitality of a host in the village for a welcome drink and cake. After this very unique experience you will continue your trip toward Dubrovnik for the guided walking tour of the Old Town.

Get ready for an adventure at sea.  You will board a luxurious inflatable zodiac boat in the Old Town Port and cruise along Lokrum Island and the old city walls which look very impressive from the sea side.  You will have the opportunity to admire the old city of Dubrovnik and take pictures. Continue with a cruise along the Lapad Peninsula and pass close by the charming Grebeni Lighthouse as you head toward Kolocep Island.  You will continue to the outer side of Kolocep island for an hour of snorkeling or swimming at the Modra Spilja Cave.  Proceed to the other side of the island of Kolocep, to the settlement  of Donje Celo which has a beautiful and very popular sandy beach. Here you will have free time to relax in the sun and swim or to ride on a tube through the beautiful bay of Donje Celo. Depart from there to beautiful and picturesque Zaton Bay where a light lunch and drinks will be served at Restaurant Orsan before you  return to Dubrovnik.

The food they will prepare and serve is mainly home-grown, while the olive oil is produced locally. Known from ancient times of Konalve area cuisine the Prsut (smoked ham), is regarded as their most respected food. The best complement to Prsut is cow, goat or sheep cheese, and certainly bread baked under the Peka (iron bell covered with hot coals. One of the most famous meals  of Konavle is veal and potatoes baked under the iron bell. Times have changed, but the recipes and technology of preparing meals has remained the same at Novakovic Family house. The always fresh natural ingredients, and the old fashion ways of preparing them has long been a family secret. With this delicious meal, you will also have a glass of good wine, prepared from grapes grown in their own vineyards, kept for wine fans with special treatment. Your excursion begins with a 30-minute drive to the small Baroque village of Perast for a walking tour in this pedestrian only village. See the Cathedral of St. Nicholas and other monuments including the Parish Church, the 12th century Sveti Djordje Church, and the Sveti Nikola Church, built between the 15th and 17th centuries . In a local restaurant, you’ll taste some typical sweets, made from an original recipe used during the Baroque period. You will have some free time before boarding a private motor boat to Gospa od Skrpjela, a Baroque-style church situated on one of two islets in the bay of Kotor, across from Perast.  The islet is man made, and its original church was built in 1452.  You'll view the stunning present church,Our Lady of the Rocks, built in 1632, and enlarged in 1722.  You'll see 68 magnificent paintings by Tripo Kokolja, a famous 17th century Baroque artist from Perast whose most important painting, The Death of the Virgin, is nearly 33 feet long.  Rejoin your bus for the return drive back to Kotor for a city walking tour through UNESCO protected Old Kotor.  At the end of guided portion, you will have free time for shopping and the opportunity to explore the town of Kotor on your own before returning independently to the ship.

Your tour will begin with a stunning speed boat ride from Kotor to Blue Cave, where you will experience the most unique views of the Bay of Kotor and Lustica Penninsula. Sun rays reflect inside the cave and cause a beautiful shade of blue water for which this cave is best known. You will visit this natural hall with its crystal-clear waters that are transparent down to the cave's 43 feet (13meters) deep seafloor. Next you will make a stop at Fisherman's Village that offers a unique local experience. All the culinary specialties that are prepared in the restaurant are made from the freshly caught fish and sea food and organically grown in the nearby garden vegetables. After a welcome drink, you wil have free time to enjoy the spacious and comfortable private beach with sun beds, the pristine sea and impressive views on the open sea and entrance of Boka Kotor Bay.  A 3-course lunch will be served paired with 3 glasses of wine, followed by some more free time for the beach and swimming.  Your Blue Cave and Lunch at Fisherman's Village tour will conclude with a 45-minutes scenic speed boat ride back to Kotor.

This trip is a unique combination of asphalt and off road, sea side and mountain scenery and different climates. It starts from Kotor with a scenic mountain drive towards the mountain village of Ivanova Korita. Once arrived at Ivanova Korita, located at the foot of Mount Lovcen National Park, and after a tour introduction and safety briefing you will receive your helmet, board your 2-person ATV and take the asphalt road towards the Ivanov Konak restaurant, from where you will take the Austro - Hungarian off road for 5 miles (8km) across Lovcen Mountain National Park. During this tour you will enjoy the beautiful refreshing shadow of the thick beech forest that embraces the road like a tunnel. A photo stop will be made at the place that provides the most attractive view of the  2 highest peaks on Lovcen followed by the place where King Nikola used to arrive to take a rest and enjoy the stunning view of Budva Riviera, Boka Bay and Tivat. Leaving the off road behind, you will pass one of the oldest katuns in Lovcen, continue along the asphalt road  and arrive at Ivanova Korita, where your adventure will conclude.

From the port of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, a motor coach will take you on a panoramic tour. You will ascend steep slopes up the serpentine road with 25 curves to Lovcen Mountain, through an area of beautiful contrasts. The soaring Montenegrin mountains tower on one side, while opposite them is the sublime beauty of one of the world’s most attractive bays. The road will take you to the picturesque village of Njegusi where you will enjoy local snacks that consist of  smoked ham, cheese, homemade bread, and wine.Rejoin the coach and proceed to the town of Cetinje, to visit the Museum of King Nikola. Then follow the scenic route through the popular summer resort of the Budva Riviera, as you head back to Kotor.  Kotor’s Old Quarter was developed within a small triangular area enclosed by town walls. Your experienced guide will direct your attention to the structures that were built by the Venetians from the 15th to mid-18th centuries. They completely enclose the Old Town and form a unique fortification capable of resisting lengthy attacks and sieges. You will then continue to see the exterior of the 12th century Cathedral of St. Triphon, which features a Romanesque basilica whose nave is separated from the aisles by alternating square pillars and antique columns. 

 

Please note:  There are 40 steps to enter the Museum of King Nikola. Wear comfortable walking shoes as there will be some walking on cobblestones. The drive from Kotor to Njegusi Village includes driving over a narrow mountain road with 24 switchbacks. Guests easily affected by motion sickness will need to take this into consideration.

          

 

 

 

Old Kotor was developed within a small triangular area enclosed by town walls extending to the Fort of St. John. Your experienced guide will direct your attention to structures that were built by the Venetians from the 15th to the mid-18th centuries. They completely enclose the Old Town and form a unique fortification capable of resisting lengthy attacks and sieges. You then continue to the 12th century Cathedral of St. Triphon, which features a Romanesque basilica whose nave is separated from the aisles by alternating square pillars and antique columns. Next, you’ll visit the Maritime Museum, showcasing the rich maritime heritage of this area. At the conclusion of the guided tour, you will have free time to explore Kotor independently, before returning to the yacht.

Upon arrival at the Moric Family home, which has been in the family for more than 200 years, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome by Ilija Moric, University Professor & President of Montenegro Olive Oil Producers Association.  You will get a unique opportunity to  discover the secrets behind producing organic olive oil as the Moric family are the only business in the area currently producing organic olive oil. Take a short walk through the olive grove, before visiting their new, modern olive press.  Afterwards, when you see the old olive press, you’ll understand how the new system has made life a lot easier! At the old mill you’ll have the opportunity to sample the olive oil, with Ilija Moric on hand to answer any questions you may have. This is followed by a buffet consisting of a delicious variety of homemade food and drinks such as smoked ham, bacon, sausages, homemade cheese, salad and apple pie. Upon arrival in Kotor you will have the opportunity to explore charming streets and historical monuments of this Mediterranean jewel with your tour guide.

Participants will need to maneuver over approximately 500 yards of uneven terrain while in the olive grove.  Comfortable walking shoes, hat, sunglasses and plenty of sunscreen are recommended. This tour is all about traditional ways of life, and giving something back to the community.  Not only will you be mixing with the locals but you’ll be helping them maintain their way of life.  You will board your motor coach for the  15-minute drive to the lovely seafront town of  Izola – an old fishing town on the Adriatic Coast. Your guide will take you on a 60-minute tour of the town before continuing on to head inland  on a panoramic 30-minute drive to a small Istrian village. Your guide will take you on a walking tour and at the weekly market the farmers will be on hand to show you their traditional recipes and home-made products.  At the market, you’ll be given a booklet with 5 vouchers and you will have 45 minutes to exchange these vouchers with the vendors to taste their goods.  Everything from fruit juice to wine, cakes to cookies are there for you to try.  There’s even some locally made ceramics, perfect to buy as a souvenir.  The vouchers you use in exchange for tastings are like a payment and go towards maintaining the village life.

Lake Bled has attracted numerous visitors for centuries, with its immense natural beauty, hot springs and serene climate. Beautiful hotels, walking paths, tennis and golf courses, a casino, rowing regattas and nearby natural and cultural sites are only a few of the reasons that this has become a popular place for both tourists and locals. You will depart the pier for a scenic 2-hour drive towards Bled, where upon arrival you will board a boat for a cruise of the Lake and a visit to its famous island which is situated in the middle. Landing at the island, one of the sites you will visit is the "Wish Bell," certainly the most significant point of interest for visitors since the Middle Ages. The Bell hangs from the tower on top of the chapel roof. According to popular legend, a young widow who lived at Bled Castle mourned her husband who had been killed by brigands and gathered all her gold and silver and had a bell cast for the chapel on Bled Island. When the bell was being transported to the island, a terrible storm caused the boat to overturn, drowning the sailors and sinking the bell to the bottom of the lake. The young widow, now even more devastated, entered a convent. After her death, the Pope donated another bell for the Bled Church. Legend has it that those who ring the bell to honor her and make a wish will see their wish come true. From here you will continue to the lunch venue, where you will enjoy your meal with a nice view over the lake before having some free time to explore Lake Bled on your own.

It will be a short drive to the Secovlje Salina Nature Park, one of Slovenia’s natural treasures. Salt has been produced in the area for hundreds of years, creating a unique saline landscape. The Lepa Vida Thalasso, set in the middle of the salt fields, extends over 43,000 square feet and has been built to the highest ecological standards using only natural materials. The pool is free of all chemicals, there is sea water in the showers, and all the treatments offered use natural local sea products. Relax and enjoy your traditional thalasso therapy session in an exceptional natural environment; indulge yourself with a salt pan mud wrap and a massage. The swimming and therapy pools are filled with highly concentrated salt water which improves blood circulation and stimulates the body’s natural defences.The tour will include transportation by boat or minibus, depending on weather conditions, a salt-pan mud wrap followed by a 20-minute massage and a fruit smoothie. Only the three small pools for foot massage can be used without a medical check up. There is open access to the big pool. Your program and arrangements for the massage and wrap will be set up.

Enjoy your day exploring the UNESCO site of Skocjan Caves, rich in importance for the region and powerful in their beauty. You will take a 45-minute drive  to the caves where there will be time to  use the restroom before entering the caves. The walk in the caves will take 2 hours, during which you will admire the beautiful Reka River and limestone formations. The Skocjan Caves are a unique natural phenomenon, the creation of the Reka River. The Reka River springs from below the Snežnik plateau and flows some 34 miles on the surface. After reaching the Karst, the limestone surface, the river not only deepens its riverbed through erosion, but also by means of corrosion – it dissolves the limestone. After the visit you will be take a short drive to an organic tourist farm and be  treated to traditional homemade local and seasonal produce, dry cuts, organic juice and dessert..  You will then have a 45-minute drive back to the pier.

 

Please note:  The visit of the cave involves 2 hours of walking over uneven surface, with spots of high altitude. Wear comfortable walking shoes and a jacket due to the temperature in the cave.

Disembark, meet your tour guide and drop off your luggage at their storage facility to start the tour. Venice is composed of more than 100 tiny islets, packed closely together around canals. Venice city is in a lagoon, protected from the sea by a long strip of land called the Lido. You will visit two islands—Murano and  Burano. Nearly half of the lagoon’s islands are deserted but the main islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello are well worth a visit. In 1291, when furnaces were banned from Venice as a fire precaution, the manufacturers of fine glassware were transferred to Murano. Glassware was one of the few Venetian exports and as such, the secrets of this skillful craft were tightly guarded. Glassmaking was considered a privileged occupation, and glass artisans were allowed to marry into the nobility. Today, the Murano products of blown-glass mirrors, chandeliers, goblets, and intricate works of art are renowned worldwide. There will be time for a visit to one of the many workshops and for shopping. The island of Burano will be next. Brightly painted houses decorate this small and cheerful fishing village. Burano is well known for its lace-making. In the 16th century, the lace industry was at its peak, and Burano was cited throughout Europe for producing the finest lace. You will have the chance to admire these beautiful works that require hours of labor, and maybe even purchase some, if you like. At the end, motor launch will transfer you back to the port where your luggage will be ready to be re-collected, you will then board your private vehicle to the airport.
